LIM Jonghoon (KOR), 29 years old and ranked No. 40 in the world, came through the qualifying rounds and captured both the Men's Singles and Men's Doubles titles. He won 3 matches in the qualifiers, 5 in Men's Singles, and 4 in Men's Doubles, for a remarkable total of 12 victories. What an achievement—well done!

He had a few injuries recently so I’m glad he could pull through and do well. It seem like the KNT had been sidelining him at the major ITTF events particularly the Mixed Team World Cup (not sure if he was injured for that event)

I thought Lim Jonghoon getting through to the knockout stage was a fluke. Even after he qualified, I still thought he was going to lose. I was wrong. He played by the book. No unorthodox shots whatsoever. He even looks like an amateur playing at the professional level 😂 that's exactly why I can watch all of his matches and learn.
