Like Kanak Jha's style. He probably has the cleanest serve among all pros. And his versatility is so good, even better than Truls sometimes?
Him and also Calderano have the cleanest serves. They toss the ball high but I have never seen them try to hide the ball like some other players.

The side effects of job security. Another reason why I keep telling them to retire, when table tennis becomes a painful chore.
We can't always judge a player's motivations and emotional investment based on what we see in the media or on TV.

I am very close with more than one well-known player that frequently get comments on their nonchalant appearances when playing, being called disinterested, complacent, not a fighter, etc. But those people couldn't be more wrong about the motivation, fight or inner turmoils that are really going on inside.

Amazing performance by Kuai Man there. WMY wasn't really playing poorly. She just couldn't get any easy points due to KM's excellent receive game.

On a side note, KM was a 3-1 underdog going into that match, which made my eyes bug out.

Good to see a fellow degenerate here. That was the best bet of the whole tournament so far for me.

KM is scary good.

Lily did well to get to R16 at a Smash and got a game from Hina. No Continental boost points for Lily so this is huge to get back into top 50.
Encouraging signs of improvement from Lily for sure. Blanking Lee Eunhye last round and avoiding getting rolled by a world class looking Hayata is a great performance. She's looking a lot more stable and efficient in her play.

Unjust oppression! Grown men should be able to enter contracts based on future events.
match fixing (backed by the gambling cartels) is a thing in table tennis
so sport gambling regulations, especially athletes, needs to be in placed to protect the integrity of the sport.

No I agree with you and was being facetious.

Anybody who is involved in an event where people bet shouldn't be placing wagers themselves. Even if it's for a different sport.

The same thing can be said for politicians who make decisions that can possibly benefit their stock portfolios and businesses. This is 100x a bigger problem for society than athletes, and yet they seem to get a pass.

Well, Sharara expected Zhang Mo (she didn't have any expectation other than participation) and Wang Zhen to retire soon after Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 was Zhang Mo's 5th Olympics.
