The Nittaku Premium 40+ is a huge improvement over the previous XSF and DHS balls. This ball feels heavier and more solid compared to to the previously mentioned ones. The speed and spin is also superior. Haven't had any roundness issues until now. It also doesn't have the bothering sound of the XSF balls. The only minus is that NP40+ is more expensive than the XSF and the DHS ones.

Edit 7/2016 : These balls are very consistent and have a predictable bounce. They can last even longer than cell balls if you don't hit many edges. If you hit the ball with the edge quite often, it can break very-very fast, this being the biggest vulnerability of all plastic balls. Even if the XSF balls seem more durable, the NP are definitely more pleasing to play with.

Let' begin with a short story time. Since a decade i have to deal with really bad back pain, as strong that after the training I needed painkillers so i could lay and sleep. At that time I was wearing the usual tabletennis equipment provider shoes. Around 5 years or even perhaps longer time ago i switched to Asics Gel-Blade. I'm telling you compared with the normal shoes it was like walking into fluffy clouds. My back pain was relieved by half i would say. Since then Im sticking with them and I was never dissapointed. Now lets look a bit more detailed into the shoe. It is a ultra light-weight, after some minutes you are not feeling that you are wearing shoes, it is totaly natural. The shoe provides a nice stablity to your foot and the ligaments, what gives you a real feeling of security. I had in all these years of table tennis just once a sprained ligament what was due to a lack of grip. With what we come to the only point what I dont like so much. At the beginning the grip is really good, you can move fast and you are not sliding. But in my opinion the grip is fading too fast. Around after 3/4 year with 3-4 times training + 1 game per week the sole is really worked up and the grip is quite gone. Despite that the rest of the shoe stays close to 100% in perfect shape. For the price of around 70-80€ you are getting a top class shoes. Im just sad that the new 5 series is unbelievable ugly. Just avaible in this horrible blue or in a headache giving white-neon yellow-orange-red mix. Nevertheless a top shoes worth buying.

I came randomly to this blade, but when I was playing it first time I already could say that it's just a really good rounded blade. It gives a just comfortable feedback to your hand what gives you nice control for receiving serves or also controling very well positioning and the spin what you want to give your ball. Afterall you have to consider that this nice piece was designed quite a while ago, 1976 if im not wrong. And for modern standarts it is not an offensive blade anymore. It is more an All or All+. With it you can play every stroke with a good quality but it will not provide you with "the killer topspin" so shot. The spins and shots will really lack a bit of speed when it would be necessary to end a point through speed. Also you really have to put more effort in , if you want to give the ball a higher bounce angle, the balls are flying really flat. I think it is a perfect bladed for starters or people who like just to bring a fcking lot of balls back to the table

I got the balls for free from Butterfly. When you open the box you immediately notice the strange colour the balls have. It is not as white as other balls are but more "dirty" and transparent. However, this does not affect you while playing I think.

For me the balls are very good for training purposes. During four hard training sessions à two hours each one ball broke - I think that is a good result. Moreover, it is really fun to play with the balls. No unpredictable trajectory, consistent jump height and you have a good feeling when hitting the ball (they don't feel as light as other, bad polyballs).

Whereas some people here speak in high terms of the balls' sound, I think they sound rather cheap and you easily hear that these aren't celluloid balls. But again, this does not affect your game in any way.

Highly recommend those balls for daily training purposes, overall good ball from Butterfly, 4 stars.

Miles beyond any other 40+ ball out there at the moment. Very consistent trajectory and bounce. Behaves like a celluloid ball in terms of feel and reaction off your racket, although with noticeably less spin. Speed feels the same as celluloid, maybe even faster sometimes.

I actually prefer this ball to the celluloid 40mm, only because it's easier to counter-loop, predict ball flight, and control the ball in extended rallies. I've played with mine a ton, and only a few broke after many hours of play, or if caught on exposed wooden edge of blade during a mis-hit.

Difficult to come by and very expensive when you are able to find. This is pretty much the only 40+ ball I play matches with. Distant 2nd place is the seamless XuShaofa 40+

This rubber is a catapult. Fast rubber for huge attacking strokes and above average control. The only drawbacks-admittedly big ones are a lack of spin and a lower than average throw angle. The throw angle is really only a problem on my backhand side (I use it on both sides) and produces a lot of service errors in the net. The throw angle being preferential ill move onto spin. My overall impression is that for someone who is an all out attacker this is your rubber. It is great from behind the table as well as on the table but doesn't have much of a touch game.
However, I do think Bluefire m1 turbo is better than the m1 version.

I have used this blade for about six months now and its a decent blade. Although there are better allowed blades like Donic Burn OFF. If you have a couple extra bucks then definitely go for Donic Burn Off. If you do purchase this blade make sure you put on some hard rubbers because the blade is not that fast. I tried Xiom vega Europe and it wasn't that good of a combination. Lifting underpin is really easy and so is blocking. Smashing is fabulous. I use this bald e with sonic blue fire m1 and this isn't that bad of a combination. However it is a head heavy combination.

The Ventus Soft is a little strange. It's so soft that every time you attack the ball, you feel the ball is touching the wood. It was awkward in the beginning but in the second or third day you get used to it. It doesn't affect the sroke. It have an amazing dwell
time, and it really helps the loop. But don't get me wrong. It's not a beginner rubbers. It's very fast and every time i hit the ball off balance or without the right technique, the ball goes off table. It's very grippy, but absolutely non tacky, Very light and the sweat doesn't affect it much.

I bought this rubber for my BH but now i'm using it in my FH.

I'm having real fun with this rubber!

The Nittaku Premium is the only poly ball that i like. It feels more like a celluloid ball than all the others combine.

I'm having many problems to adjust to the new ball and this one is the only i can play like i used to with the cell balls. It's very perfect round and hard. I bought a pack of 6 and train almost every day and still didn't break one.

It's a real shame that i can't use this ball in the tournaments in Portugal.

It's very expensive. 9€ for six balls is ridiculous. It's also slower than the cell ball but faster than all the other poly balls.

It is my new favorite rubber for BH. It helps with the looping and even being bouncy, it's very easy to block with this rubber. It's a little bit slow compared to other offensive rubbers, but i like them that way in my BH.

I believe i found my Holy Graal for my BH and i would only change this rubber if in the future i feel i need more speed in BH.

After 2 months playing with this rubber i didn't feel much degradation.

I've been playing with Silver Line All Wood for 6 months.

The blade have very very hard top plies. If you use a soft sponge, you will feel the ball hitting the wood. I don't think that affect my stroke but it annoys me.

It's an ALL+ blade but for some reason, feels slower than most of ALL blades i tried. I do't know if it is only my blade if all are like that.

It has an amazing handle. It feels very confortable in the hand and the weight in the head is very balance (i play with 2.0mm rubbers).

I hit with the blade many time in the table and in six months it doesn't have a dump or splints. It is also a very goog looking blade. Red top plies and black with gray in the handle.

For the price it's best blade i tried. I don't give 5* because of the hard top plies.

The Stiga Clipper CR (and CR WRB) is a great blade for developing players (and more!).

Lots of control, suitably fast. This blade has no weaknesses and can be used by defenders, blockers, hitters, spinners...
The drawback is that it does not shine in one particular aspect. For a pure topspinner / defender / blocker, other blades are likely better suited.

In particular, if you want power in your shots, it has to come from you, so over a whole tournament, this can be physically demanding.

The Stiga quality can be a bit hit and miss, and the weights can vary. Most good blades will be 90+ grammes.

The speed is sufficient, and the control is very good. Throw is medium.

The Clipper is a great blade, with a small price. Any player getting coaching should try one. It is the perfect blade to improve your game.

With the new ball, more advance players looking for power can consider a faster blade. Some Pros still play with Clipper but they are fitter than most league players.

This blade is one of the best in the current (commercial) DHS offering.

It is mostly sold with FL handle, although some CHinese websites seem to sell ST versions.

It weights +/- 93 grams, so not a light blade. The blade face dimensions are also slightly bigger than most. BTY blades are generally 157x150mm, and this HL5 is 160x151. However, the balance of the blade is very good and once in hand, it is not head heavy at all, even when fitted with rubbers (currently Omega V Pro and Vega Asia).

The blade is composed of the following layers Limba - Limba - ALC - Ayous - ALC - Limba - Limba. This is similar to the BTY Innerforce ALC, but the HL5 is stiffer.
The blade thickness, at 5.9 mm, is similar to many popular blades.

The throw is medium, so the blade will match most rubbers depending on style. With high (ish) throw rubbers, it's a looping machine, while with a medium throw rubbers, it's great for blocking.

The blade quality is very high the finish is excellent and it comes in a very nice box, with an individual "blade ID card" with dimensions, weight, thickness and serial number.

The limba outer layer give it a nice dwell and facilitate spin. It is very easy to control, and is very stable as you play with more power.
There are some vibrations, enough to get good feedback from your shot.

This blade is expensive, but you will find it discounted sometimes from reputable shops.

Is it the best blade I ever played with? Very likely. Not for beginners though.

I ply with Omega V Pro (OVP) in max on my forehand.

It's a modern rubber, made for the plastic ball. It's slightly hard, but that's just what the new ball requires. I'd rate it a bit softer than T05 + old ball.

It has a hint of tackiness (if you leave the bat to rest on the ball, the ball will be lifted slightly when you pick the bat up), and is therefore easy to control for serves and short play. This also helps as the ball does not slip when topspinning, even as slow speed.

The throw angle is high, but I would say lower than T05. probably similar to T80.

The rubber remains as new for 3+ months, and then loses a bit of spin, particularly if you often hit the ball in the same place! This is like most tensor rubbers nowadays, including tenergy. It remains however perfectly appropriate to compete, although you lose in crazy spin what you gain in control.

While the rubber is very dynamic and there is a nice kick to the ball on strong impacts, it remains very linear and controlable at all times, and small impacts, for short play for example, result in a short / low ball.

Strangely, I find the rubber isn't that sensitive to incoming spin.

It is very solid and does not mark or tear easily, despite a couple of unfortunate encounters with the table surface / edge!

I consider this rubber to be the plastic ball equivalent of Tenergy 05 with the old ball. High throw, linear, spinny, fast when required, long lasting... Only the price is much more palatable!

All in all a great rubber from XIOM.

This other day i bumped in to this product. The seamless balls have good bounce. Not as heavy as Nexy or Xiom seamless balls. But good enough for standard play. Out of 3 balls 1 accidentally hit the concrete wall and burst like anything. Like it was totally destructed by a person taking all his anger out after loosing 11-0. So durability for this ball still seems a question mark for me. Otherwise they are nice to have.

Heavy but Powerful.
Within the current tacky rubber choice, I would say this is the best rubber I've ever played with.

I got it in table tennis equipment shop in Shanghai, costed me 350 rmb (around 50 usd).
The shop sells product which is straight out of shanghai DHS so the product is definitely not a fake one.

I boosted it with Haifu whale 2. 2 layers are enough for me.
The rubber became a monster when boosted, here are few changes from H3 Neo.

1. I win more points off serves.
The spin you can put on balls with this rubber is very random.
By random I mean sometimes its super spinny but sometimes its not and my opponents seem to have trouble getting the amount of spin.

2. Blue sponge is an amazing rally partner.
Blue sponge is very stable since it is very resilient (flexible and bend) sponge, my rally became very stable and powerful.
It is my personal opinion but I feel like the sponge absorbs lot of power from opponents ball and put it back to them more effectively than the orange sponge.

3. Heavy but powerful
In general, rubbers gets bit heavier when boosted. H3P Blue sponge is not a exception.
But you know what? Weight is Power! I feel my forehand became more heavier and powerful.

Overall, a Perfect choice for powerful and rally-oriented people who prefer chinese rubber.

I have been using Tenergy 05 FX on my forehand with the Innerforce ZLF blade. This is a very good combination for spin and control. This softer rubber from the Tenergy series gives me lots of control and the spiniest rubber I have ever used. I am not using Tenergy 05 on my forehand because I feel I need more control, touch and spin on the ball. Tenergy 05 FX is a very good rubber to generate lots of spin and gives me more control than 05. you can play close to the table with this rubber and you can generate lots of spin on your serves and short touch. Also when I do spinny topspins against backspin I can generate a lot of spin.

paweltenergy05fx.jpg

i am really happy to use tenergy 05 FX because it gives me a lot of control in my topspin. I am winning alot of points because I can combine spin and speed with my forehand topspin shot. It works very well with my Innerforce ZLF as this blade is designed for spin and control.

Tenergy 05 FX is good for offensive players who know how to play topspin shots with good technique. It is fast but not as fast as Tenergy 64, but it is ffast enough to win good points. When away from the table I have enough power to finish and win the point.

This rubber is not good for beginners or players who have just started. Of course it is very spinny and fast but it is to fast for beginners. You need good technique to handle this rubber. This rubber is created for very offensive players who like power and spinny shots who have good technique and fast movements.

The negative thing about Tenergy is the price, it is around £45-50. it is one of the most expensive on the market however the money is worth it as it is the best rubber on the market for attacking players. In the last year I was using 05 FX on my forehand but next month I am planning to change to normal 05 to generate more power and speed on my forehand topspin.

On my backhand I had Rakasa 7 Soft but I will change for 05 FX to get more grip and quality on my backhand to get lots of spin from my wrist shots on my backhand. This is why next month I will use Tenergy 05 FX on my backhand and Tenergy 05 on my forehand.

Butterfly create innerforce to get more feeling and control on the ball. The version of innerforce what i got is ZLF. ZLF which is Zylon Fibre. My blade has 5 ply wood and 2 ply of Zylon Fibre. My blade weighs 81grams which is not to heavy and is quite light. The Zylon Fibre makes really nice feeling of the ball and control its not that fast like the ALC versions or the ZLC, it is a little bit slower, it means ai generate more spin and touch because it is slower. This blade is really good for the spin game and control and touch game I can still you have enoguh power to finish the ball by finishing the ball by an strong topspin. I played with ALC version a few times from my friends players and i found the Innerforce ZLF has better control which helps me.

innerforcezlf2.jpg

In the last year I was playing on my forehand Tenergy 05 FX with this blade, this is very good combination for spin and control. It is very good with this blade, the softer rubber allows for powerful play and generate lots of spin

On my backhand I had Yaska Rakza 7 soft which is even softer than 05 fx and a bit slower, because i dont have as much control with my backhand this is why i chose a little slower rubber. This means I can really use my wrist to generate lots of spin on my backhand. This worked well with this blade.

In the end I would say this blade is really good for generating spin with quite soft rubbers. In the next month I might change my forehand rubber to Tenergy 05 for more power.

On my backhand I will put 05 FX version in the future. But I will still still work on generating lots of spin. The blade really works well with Tenergy rubbers.
I love this bat, next year I am going to play with 05 on my forehand and 05 FX on my backhand
