I club I used to play at used a large roll of cardboard as a barrier. It seemed to come up a bit higher than the traditional barriers used, so maybe give that a try?

Maybe a little bit not what you are asking or looking for, but one club I played used ground to ceiling height nets and they did a very good job. No balls go to other tables, it's easy to make and should be cheap...
Thanks for the picture.
What im looking for, is how to make some higher table tennis sorrounders with feet under, so we in the club can lift them and carry them away after each training. If we just put them up loose, then it will take to much space because we only have a smal room to 6 tables
I meant, that I was in a club which separated tables using nets (like fishing nets or smth) and hanged them as curtains. And it did the job fine. It was cheap I suppose, and the balls couldn't leave playing are (and that's a common problem)
