In terms of doing the actual RPB I find that it really helps that you adjust the angle of your grip away from what is normally used for normal traditional penhold. Whereas with traditional your ring finger and pinky just remain in line with your middle finger, thereby making a line coming out perpendicular to the face of the paddle, with RPB I find that it really helps with consistency and just overall getting used to being good with the RPB if you instead place your two fingers lower on the face of the paddle. As in they are placed so that they are both smashed up against the face of the paddle, this gives you much better control, and changes the angle of your paddle so that its more like the angle that shakehand users have for their backhand.
ive been playing CPEN with RPB for the last 3 years. and i started off with a 5 year old sheet of Hurricane 3 provincial and Siga mendo Mp also around 5 years old.
but now its Hurricane hao blade and a new H3 provincial or TG3 blue sponge( i thing Tg3 is easier to use than H3) and i went with something soft on BH like Focus 3 Snipe. and been playing with that for the last year or two.
and to anyone who says H3 or tg3 are slow .. you are doing it wrong!!!
if you want an allround fh+ RPB grip look at Wang Haos grip.... if you want something more FH oriented ( more power) look up Ma lin and Xu Xin grips
heres how i grip mine, sort of... dont pay attention to the rubbers that was just for fun..

I followed ShaolinTT's advice on blade and rubbers. My first blade and rubber is: YEO FH: skyline 3 Neo BH: Sriver EL. But I want to try Focus 3 Snipe because Butterfly is OP(For me). But over all, I'm Very Happy.
