Maybe you should have sealed the blade? That should stop the splintering problem.Just a tiny layer should be sufficient.
and Ik it might not be a 100% accurate. But you can get a certain picture from looking at the ttdb ratings and comparing.

I've not tried either, but I have tried Stiga Intencity (I got my friend to get it for himself so I could try it mwahahaha)
It has a very diferent feel from my HH3, not bad diferent, but I do prefer Hurricane Hao III a fair bit more.
When I choose HH3, I did ofc go through all reviews I could find, though I also checked on other blades, Like the MEO.
But overall
(review on HH3) -
"To rate this amazing racket , i used the MEO that i have, and it's rating on this database... It is a litle slower than MEO, but have a lot of more control, and and much more spin...the ball get more spin easily, the sound is alsome, and the wood feeling is less sensitive than the MEO (what i like, cause MEO is too muc sensitive for me)."
Whereby, (considering Intensity the same as MEO) I get what he mean by "wood feeling is less sensitive", the MEO would probably feel more like an almost extended hand, while HH3 has the ultimate feedback/Darksound/light vibration/hardButGood-feel.
This description made me go for the HH3, lol. I can safely say, I won't be looking for any other blades any time soon.
MEO does indeed seem like a good choice (and a bit cheaper than both Hybrid wood and HH3), though, if you have the money, I would still give HH3 a recommendation. :L
Also worth mention, Intensity has a REALLY light pinch sound, while HH3 has a REALLY dark pinch sound, it's almost funny how they are complete opposites in sound lol. Silver Line Carbon also had a light sound, but it was a bit annoying light sound tbh, meanwhile the Intensity has a pretty nice light sound. (yes, this is the most important factor of all...)
Though no matter which of these blades you pick, I'd still recommend sealing them.
