I play for Darenth TTC in Kent and my top achievements are:
Getting into England Top 50
Coming 4th in the National School Finals
Reaching the final of my age group at Horsham Spinners 2 Star
Been playing for 2 1/2 years

What an achievement! Yoy are lucky to be in a TTC with great coaches.

For Amy, doesn't matter what age you started, as long you got coach an intensive help from pro player, you can advance.

I started early at 14 but with improper coaching from neighborhood friend which is also an amateur, and never got proper lesson. Now I ends up with a lot of bad habits in table tennis.

Hey I'm Kevin. A Minister who loves table tennis. I've been playing for about a year now. 5 hours a day 6/7 days a week.

Had a work injury that has me sidelined for a while so I've been practicing my serve daily about 4 hours a day. I play here in Ohio and sometimes get coaching from John Tannehill (former #2 US player). He says I have a 2600 serve. It's just the rest of my game that needs to catch up. Lol In practice I'm the hitting King! That's because the points do not count. Lol

Got a couple trophies for under 1200 league.

Joined a club this month and will be practicing 2 days a week for 2h, let's see the evolution.

I'm Volker based in Germany and play TT since more than 30 year (starting as a kid). I'm part of a smal table tennis team, playing regular championships in on of the lower German regional leagues. I'm also an active coach for your juniors in the club.
The biggest challange currently is to retire my old school technique (more than 2 decades ago, they played very different from today) and get into modern table tennis. Being in the late 40ies, footwork is the not the best and that is also a huge domain for improvement.
Hope that I can share some of my experience with other here on the forum and learn from more advanced players here...
