This is actually not the 1st time. The same thing happened in the match between LJK and Matsudaira in 2017. Same behavior from LJK. Not an honest boy.

Didn't Hari's coach agreed that it was LJK's point? I watched this on stream, although I can't tell whether its edge or side but LJK looped the ball from middle of table to Hari's FH side of table and the ball touched the right side of table. Then LJK pointed to the table indicating that was his point. Hari looked at his coach who seemed to agree. Then there was some sort of discussion going on between the empires and the chinese coach. You can't say LJK is dishonest when his opponent coach agreed with him. If its his point, then its his point.

Looked to me the umpire said it was a side ball and they gave Harimoto the point which was the right decision I think. Neither Harimoto nor the coach gave the point to LJK. But as we know LJK isn't a honest guy, he did the same with Matsudaira, and his coach was a dumbass.

Clearly a side ball.

Clearly a side ball.

Thanks for the replay. Looks like a side to me as well but I still can't be 100% sure. assuming Hari got the point at the end? I can't see the scores.

Lim Jonghoon is doing double duty playing in all 3 events and placing high in all of them. So his Jang Woojin who is showing why he could become the Wold Junior Champion. Korea looking stable for the future unlike Germany,, but dont worry Timo willl carry for the next 10 years easily:rolleyes:

Saw the match live between LJK vs HM. HM did not look like a guy who could beat ML frankly. Had a quick chat with his Japanese team members sitting right next to me. They thought HM is actually exhausted after Japan Open and has huge pressure of expectation at home.

Yes, it's in the policy. You don't make it out of the groups? You're grounded. 1st round exit as a seed? You're grounded. Even if you're signed up for the next stop.

What about zjk that he himself withdrew?? With winning his first two games ..

How can he still be exhausted when it's was more than a month ago? I get the expectation part, but the exahusted from Japan Open part doesn't make a lot of sense.

Technically speaking, he didn't make the main draw when he pulled out from his match against YA. But IIRC, there is a condition that says it's OK if you lost to your teammate. So he probably pulled out as a form of protest.

I believe it. I think it's mostly mental stress, not physical (unless he has injuries). When there's huge expectations on Harimoto, it can negatively impact his performance. Also, younger players are more prone to inconsistencies. It's normal to see them fluctuate from tournament to tournament.
