I plan on losing all of this extra weigh this year to be able to compete at Nationals. I also am hoping I do well in my interview tomorrow with Joola USA. I'm applying for a video position and what better position than to help with how TT is filmed in the U.S. Plus many ideas in the books. I'm uber excited.

Wish me luck all.

Get stuck in to my work as a table tennis development officer and get more players in the sport, really hoping to get creative and work hard and of course strongly focus on developing my own game as well and make plans for later in the year.

Doing a proposal and designing a brand new Table tennis Centre for the ministry of sports. It will accommodate 32 table tennis tables with a playing area 18'x45' each, which will be open to the public. It will also have a cafeteria and changing rooms/WC.

At a another section of the building (members area), it will have 12 tables for club members. It will also house a gym. changing room and accommodations for visiting players complete with dining area. The public will not have access to this section since it requires membership access card to enter. Another section will house the admin offices, maintenance, changing room for the staff, first aid room and shower/WC, and other utilities.

The centre will only have table tennis, and nothing else. Hope to finish designing in the 2nd quarter of the year, and I'll post it in my albums on my profile.

Thanx guys! I've started doing some research and my architects will be heading to Bronby Stiga Elite centre in a week time. Hopefully it will be for the national team since then we may get more budget for the development. For the time being it will be a table tennis club for kuala Lumpur and Selangor state. If it all goes well, we will do more of these centre around the country, at least one for each state.

I will definitely post the design here. We have been working on it for the a year (late 2010) to get a budget out, including some preliminary designs and feasibility studies, in terms of construction costs against revenue. The investors would like to get their money back in 3 years, and we finally came up with a prelim design and feasibility worthy of a nod from them. We are now working on a more detail design, including materials and green construction and technology such as solar, recycled water for WC and rain water recycling system, which will help boost the revenue. The initial construction cost will be slightly higher because of this, but the savings will be enormous in the long run. The trick is to find the right balance for the investors. It will also have natural ventilation with plenty of courtyards to provide cross ventilation to cool the building naturally.

Malaysia already have 2 of the best Badminton training centre in the world, and it's about time TT comes in as one of the priority for the Sports Ministry. And this is going to be a good start. :)

My resolution is to get into the Monash team for the UniGames. To do that, I plan to train up all my muscles like Bruce Lee and also train with my robot intensively at least 3 times a week. I'm currently training a lot of BH counters to improve my BH even further.

We don't know when the constructions will start because we are still waiting for the Letter of Award (LA). What I know it's going to this year and duration will be a year and a half.

Yes, it's going to be open for everyone. There will be rooms and dormitories for foreign players and coaches. We'll be getting coaches from China, Japan and other countries too. I'm gonna be on the board, and I am definitely bringing you guys over!

That is so sweet azlan. I can't wait to come and visit which I would most definitely want to do. I'm not sure how my schedule will be, but hopefully when the building is built I'll be able to check it out.

As for Joola it looks like a great opportunity and it's my dream job. I have a few things to get in order and also finish a project that they have me demoing. If all is said and done I might be working for Joolausa by the end of the month. Here's hoping to everything falling in order.

Some awesome resolutions guys. Let's really make this year count for TT. Nothing like an Olympic year to help grow the sport.
