Shibaev and Dima usually do well vs choppers too. It usually comes down to the forehand quality and the practice hours.

Watching Polcanova play always heartens me. When she lost to Liu Shiwen, the score was terrible but the quality was high. Her height gives her easy power and the leftiness a tricky dimension and she has managed to remain limber. Every time I see Sofia, I think Europe has a chance.

There was something disturbing about his right foot or ankle movement in an earlier match. He scraped by, but with an inkling of impaired movement. I couldn't pinpoint it precisely, I just had this slight uncomfortable impression of awkwardness when he moved (or should have moved) swiftly into the FH gap.
