yeah I just hope a chinese will fail, then Ma Long has at least the third place.
We know that Ma Long is the best, he does not need to win Olympia to show us that fact. I already know who is the king on the table
I saw this too. Ma Long goes with a smile to the China Team and shakes hands with Ma Lin and Liu. Then Liu starts talking and Ma Longs smile disappeared.
haha back to Waldner v Ma Long, told you that thread was a good idea![]()
yeah ma long has some problems in self-confidence. but thats speaks for his handsome character. even if he his on the top of the world, he says, that he isnt good enough. what a player! zhang jike is the complete opposite. to much confidence and has a big mouth. like that he will be the best soon and the leader of the team. and then there comes a good boy ma long and sent him back to earth![]()
well we will see. hope that liu is just that critical, because he sees ma long as the player of the century. even zhang jike and others said, that he is the most variable and complete player at the moment..
Well said my friend!!!! Though Ma Long is my one and only player in my heart, I need to admit that What Anders said was TRUE.I don't know if the players personality has that much to say if he becomes great or not... If we're comparing to crosscountry skiing, then Norway has Petter Northug, he is really self confident. He knows that he is the best, and he sure knows how to put on a show, but still he is the frontman of the Norwegian team. The audience wants a player that wins big titles, not a player that just plays amazing but loses when it gets tough.
Until Ma Long has achieved a big title like WTTC singles or Olympic championships, he won't have the same status like Waldner or even Persson. It might be sad, and maybe hard to confess, but it's true.
But I don't say that I don't want Ma Long to succeed, ofc I do! I want him to be great, but so far, he is not when thinking of titles...
Sigh, come on guys let's be realistic, LGL should send Ma Long for singles and team. How many singles matches has Ma Long lost in the last year?
He has a 94.6% win ratio from 56 matches! He is the best possible contender for the gold medal. Why? Because on a bad day he is awesome and on a good day he is even better.
