I think it is better to be young to be a "hands on" coach because it is physically taxing. If you were the head coach of the national team in China, you could delegate, I ma pretty sure, the physically taxing stuff.Do you need to be young to coach? Isn't Stellan Bengtsson still coaching?
It may be physically taxing if the students are very good. Sometimes you can teach students with a robot. A few times I taught relatively new players how to loop by listening to the sound of contact with the ball. I showed how to just hit the ball and you could hear the blade makes a sharp sound from the wood vibrating. The I show the students how to brush the ball so that the sound of the blade was greatly diminished if non-existent. The key thing is that the students must have faith that closing the paddle and brushing will still "drag or pull" the ball over the net.I think it is better to be young to be a "hands on" coach because it is physically taxing. Faith? Closing the paddle? WTF are you smoking? I seriously suspect hardheaded engineer has DID here. The key thing is that the students must have faith that closing the paddle and brushing will still "drag or pull" the ball over the net.
