Lin improved with each match at this tournament, while he was also able to suppress his excitement and show what he is capable of. Coach Lina is beyond praise! He very competently built tactics and strategy for the match, in addition, he very correctly did not take a single time out, which was so necessary for the Ma Long. Just great guys!

There was "overseas" people coming to Taiwan chat groups and calling Lin to change coaches and how one needs young brains nowadays.
Most of those accounts typed in simplified Chinese (Taiwan types in Traditional Chinese characters).
those "attacks" came when Lin was loosing and it did influence a lot of people in Taiwan because the coach is a bit old to be a personal coach, but from what I see is, Lin is surround by a very strong team, and they believe the coach is right for him, then it is right for him.

Both Lin's current coach, previous coach and previous previous coach have all done a great deal to make him a more complete player.

With this win, LYJ rightfully jumps back into the top 10 on Tuesday as WR#6 with 1000 pts earned replacing current low of 55 pts for a net gain of 945 pts. He will be followed by Felix who moves up a spot from #8 to #7.

Apparently, we can now observe the beginning of the decline of Chinese hegemony in table tennis. A historical moment, I'll tell you guys.

The CNT can study and beat you if you rely on a few special tactics or strength.

But from the match you can tell Lin is pretty well rounded now. 3 years ago he struggled with:

Strength in general

Agreed - LYJ seems to have virtually no weakness right now, his skills and techniques are on par with CNT Team A. The only thing that remains to be seen is if he has the mentality to consistently perform like this every time, and especially in the biggest stage - Olympics/WTTC.
If he can get this right, he’s THE threat against CNT this Olympics. Lebruns are too young and immature, and others simply aren’t good enough.

I think a bigger chance that Japan gives Lin asylum and Lin plays for Japan.
