Unboosted, these rubbers were pretty good at looping against topspin, but they struggled against looping underspin. They don't have much rebound, so you need to put in all the effort to loop underspin. The problem is, they are rather soft, so it's like your full effort doesn't transfer to the ball. Especially when the ball was slightly out of position, slightly close to your body, slightly short or slightly long, the rubbers struggled even more.

Also these rubbers didn't perform well as a blocking rubber, against because they are kinda deadish.

I often compare blades or rubbers to a iphone. When you swipe, does the screen register your actions? When you push or spin or expand, does the phone respond to your request? I found these rubbers to be quite sluggish.

And I'm quite certain this Rxton 5 is different from the old version.

I was testing the rxton and i thought it was horrible. Every shot was falling into the net, it was so weird

Then i looked over and realized that my opponent was using anti spin rubber.

Hate this
hahaha thats so funny i can see some of my teammates reacting the same way then realizing lol

After 1 layer of seamoon, the rxton pro curved a lot while the orange didnt curve much. Why would this happen??

Maybe the blue sponge was already treated with something which makes it easier to curve.

maybe........who will ever know ??? 😁 Of course every sponge will react different to the various boosters.

I remember once reading that when it came to H3 provincial, the orange sponge boosted better than the BS.

.......and now we got exactly the opposite happening with R5P.

No i actually think the opposite. When a sponge curls so easily, it tells me it is too soft and wont react well to booster

I think the orange R5 will perform better boosted

one must compare apples with apples not apples with pears.
Equally one should not compare standard R5 with R5 Pro.
It is a sens-less exercise.
In the case of the above mentioned example it was both H3 provincial, one orange sponge and the other blue sponge.

Ok i put 1 layer seamoon on rxton blue sponge and 2 layer on orange.

The basic hitting rebound is better, but overall I really dont like it. The topend power is not there, and the rubbers feel way too soft and sluggish. I cant loop with confidence or crispness.

They are just too soft, mushy, and laggy. When i loop, it takes a few milliseconds for the ball to react.

Maybe after a few days the sponge may firm up a bit..., but probably not too much

that is exactly the feel i got from both rubbers that were on the Loki e9 star racket. The red rubber had the blue sponge and the black rubber had a black sponge, both were rubbish.

i tested Rxton 3 Pro on a Loki Kirin k3 blade with Rxton Blue on the other side. I Made the combo for testing as an advanced beginner/Intermediate player setup with great price/performance ratio. Overall Rxton 3 Pro Made a good impression, Easy to use, good bounce & great grip after initial tackyness settles a bit. Feels softer than 40d, Rxton 3 blue feels a tiny bit firmer, both rubbers work decently well on BH but for this combo i favour R3pro for the BH.

Is your Rxton blue listed as H39 or H40? Do you think it is good for FH as well?

Which rubber is Rxton 3 Pro most similar to for you? LAC?

he says """i favour R3pro for the BH """" well, then it hardly like the LAC right ???

Rxton blue Is listed as h40 but the one i tested feels almost the same as the Pink im currently using on BH on my V7rs. I think its fine on the FH for the most part. Feels Quite Easy to use. Less Overall potential than R9 as Spected. for this testing combo (Kirin k3 + R3pro +R3blue) the setup can be used both ways without much adjustment, a couple of players of different levels tested the bat & the BH rubber choice changed based on preferences.

I should test again since i put Lac on a clubmate blade but R3pro feels a bit softer than LAC, tackiness Is similar when clean but R3 pro feels less tacky while playing AND i think a bit More bounce. Arc Is safe & Easy to use, pretty good drive & blocks speed at least on this blade. I think Lac Is More Advanced & could have More topend power/spin for someone with good technique, specially for FH.
R3pro feels a bit better than normal R3 but they are quite familiar i think.
Overall a great rubber for the price.

I dont understand your reply dear mr lodro. I Said i liked R3pro More on BH than on FH for This testing combo (keep in mind i made it thinking on a beginner or Intermediate player as an affordable option with good feeling & performance) on my personal blade im using R9 & R3 pink but i changed Lac just for testing different combinations. I dont think R3 pink Is better than LAC but its fine for my level & like the color too, also i tested the rubber but it was sitting on another blade so i felt it was a waste. My Lac i paste it on a V9 blade for a clubmate.

No problem, hardly anybody does 🤣
My comment was a explanation for Tensorbackhand who concluded from your review that R3P might be good for FH even though you preferred it on the BH.
To me this is a bit paradox because (coming only out in black) I considered LAC always a typical FH rubber.

In the end of course it will always be a matter of personal preference . One man's FH rubber can indeed be the other man's BH rubber.

Hope i did not hurt your feelings :devilish:

No problem lol sometimes i feel i miss some nuances since english isnt my native language haha.

Of course its always personal preference, im trying to test things based on different parameters since im seelling & deciding what materials i should keep importing or what most players favour around me. For example some high & Intermediate level players & coaches that are used to tenergy/Donic bluefire liked R3pro, Both T3 & T3 Speed & Arthur europe diamond better than LAC & R9. But H3/hybrid players felt Lac & R9 like good options 🤷
