Tony, you'd be limiting his freedom to read or not read your post. We should never do that. If you ignore him, you limit yourself, you have the freedom for that.

As in the match said the referee: "Calm down." It's not that hot, we all like your posts, and if you feel something is unfair with CNT, I'm glad you post about it. You know well, that when I consider something unfair, I raise my voice, even against you yourself ;-). So, calm down, it's not that hot ;-)
that guys insults me, I don't like it and i'm being polite not to insult back

so yeah, if he and you will read it, and I choose for him to not to read it, then you need to suffer just like him for me not sharing it. everyone gets to not read it because of 1 apple.

I guess he must be a rich dad that gets away with it,
i will forgive him, if he take his richness and help get Roschica Sonday to Taiwan!

Of course he can, he'd be favored for sure, but anything can happen in one match. I wouldn't have guessed Gauzy would take down Kao 3-0 before today.
Guess, maybe not, espwcially the scoreline, but Gauzy was legitimate France #1 before the Lebruns showed up and the depression and work he has done on his game is harder to see since he doesn't get top billing anymore. But some may remember he beat the whole CNT B team last year to win a feeder. He would still be top dog in most countries in Europe. I think Kao got unlucky that he plays a worse version of the style the Lebruns currently play but doesn't have Gauzy to practice against to get a spinny counter and off the table creativity on a regular basis.

Like in every other sport? A cyclist friend of mine was literally laughing his a** off at "Armstrong's fight against cancer" making him win two mountain stages in a row.

Google Norwegian skiing asthma team. It's literally everywhere.

What China does in TT is not even that outstanding.
Your two examples don't really inspire me in the sense that "it's literally everywhere," especially if one example is as niche as Norwegian skiing.

But let's say it is everywhere as you say. What's wrong with talking about exactly how it's happening while we're in a forum devoted to talking about things like this?

Asthma patients are everywhere in the Olympics too... and even tennis (even the greats like Serena Williams are granted a significant amount of therapeutic use exemptions (aka legalised doping) as the organisations are controlled by US and European friendly organisations lol.

There were so many rule changes that were super anti CNT so I don't buy the "CNT having unfair advantages" here. For eg hidden serve ban and pips aspect ratio limit which were directly targeting one of the most successful players (LGL). Or the move to only allow 2 players in Olympic singles and 5 for WTTC, clearly also anti CNT

Thank you. I like Tony's posts, and I love what he's doing for the TT community in SA. I appreciate you as a person @Tony's Table Tennis, you're valuable for both this board and the TT community at large, I just don't agree with your views on the CNT, or rather the relevancy of those views.

I'm offering you an olive branch, and with that I'll explain a bit about where I'm coming from. I follow quite a few sports, some more than others, but the one I've followed the longest is college football (CFB). My favorite team is my alma mater, the University of Florida Gators. Growing up in the South, CFB is life. I've signed up to like 5 PAID UF sports message boards, at the same time.

You probably don't know this, but recently there's been a world of change in CFB. After a supreme court decision, there's a thing called "NIL"(Name, Image, and Likeness) now. The intent is to make it possible for student athletes to profit off of their name, image, and likeness, so they can get a share of the money that schools get, which for a major programs like UF, that's hundreds of millions of dollars a year. They can sell jerseys with their names on it, or appear in commercials, for example, and get paid for it.

What actually happens though, is that schools are recruiting athletes by offering NIL deals. Do a commercial once a month, and you get paid $1 million a year, for example. They're offered to elite high school athletes who may never end up playing a single down at the school, so they're obviously being paid to come play for the school and not for their actual work doing commercials. Nobody would actually pay that much for oftentimes benchwarmers to appear in commercials. This has allowed wealthier schools who can play the NIL game well to hoard some of the most elite recruits in the country. UF, having won national championships in '96, '04, and '06, is one of the blue bloods of the sport, but recruiting has been way down as they don't play the NIL game well, and on field result has suffered as well. There's no end to the complaints about NIL on my various message boards, and it gets tiring.

I'm still paying for those boards (I've let 2 of them expire, so just 3 out of 5 now), but I check the free TTD more often than those boards combined these days. I'm interested in the sport, that's what I want to talk about. I don't want to keep hearing about all the complaints about unfairness when IMO it's just as fair or unfair as life itself.

Things like that happen and they also should happen. And I don't think he insulted you, or I didn't feel that way so strongly. It's rare when I disagree with @dingyibvs, but here I do, because when the "world works that way" should not mean that we "deal with it as grown-ups" but shutting our mouth. That is exactly what's been happening right now and why we are in such a bad shape. Luckily we are waking up like the farmers ;-)

You should all come to Germany, we'll play and drink together ;-)

I'll accept your forgiveness lol. Although just so you know for the first 9 years of my life my parents and I shared a 1 bedroom apartment with my grandparents, and in high school my family shared a 3 bedroom apartment with two other families. Until the age of 29 I'd never lived in any place without a roommate, so definitely no rich dad! I was so overjoyed when I finally got to live without sharing an apartment with a stranger, even when it was just a tiny studio apartment!

France played well, Gauzy stepped up and won his game.
If the Lebrun Brothers can BOTH keep their cool, and to do that they will have to play very well from the start of their matches, then there is a chance of France winning.

Those Lebrun brothers are so so hungry, They are like a starved but fed animal, no matter how full, they want more and will make room for more!!!! They want to show the world how good they believe they are!!! Whether this will transpire in the final is another thing.

And it's all tied up! A shaky WYD vs the China assassin Hirano Miu, hmmmm, maybe we've all been talking about the wrong upset? When was the last time CNT didn't win either women's or men's team event?

WYD is not as shaky as advertised. Hirano still has a lot of work to do
