Now that I think about it, although it was amazing for SHW to beat CXT, it probably ended up preventing fellow defender Hashimoto from winning the title. That doesn't take away from amazing run of taking down Miwa, Sato, JJH, and SYB. In any case, Hashimoto will get the full 420 pts from making the finals which propels her into the top 50. And that's with just 3 tournaments.

This has got to be a huge morale boost for Team Japan winning all the titles at the Star Contender Bangkok going into Paris:

MS: Tomo
WS: Mima Ito
MD: Tomo/Matsushima
WD: Sato/Hashimoto
XD: Tomo/Hayata

Not even Chinese scouts Chen Xingtong or Lin Gaoyuan could spoil the party.

Hariboy been having an incredible past couple of months. My sources tell me that he was browsing TTD and saw all the comments saying that he clearly was no longer the best player outside of China. This upset him so much that he decided to bring back his FH shot, which he had locked away a while back and vowed never to use again.

If he hasn't switched to Hurricane or custom Dignics 09c at least, it won't make a difference. And without Felix and Hugo around, and with all the c.lose wins vs teammates , a lucky win over LJH and an out of form LYJ, he still has a lot to prove. LGY was given instructions to lose to Harimoto to inflate his ego since a choker beating Harimoto would make Harimoto train harder.

They didn't have to give him instructions to lose. They made him cut his hair which was the source of his power. The result is that the Dark Knight has been downgraded to the Dork Knight.

Still a fan of LGY, but please bring back the WCQ ball-hiding mushroom cut hairstyle!

I guess no one from the forum was there? Audio on table 1 was pretty bad, but I was wondering about the attendance because it sure didn't sound packed and that shouldn't be the case for a Star Contender.

That's a shame. In the early rounds there were loud Thai supporters in the stands banging on drums and blowing horns.

They mustve priced out the Thai fans in the later stages. There's a ton of Japanese tourists that travel to Bangkok and none at the later rounds either. Was sad in the finals when that stadium announcer was asking for cheers for Japan and it was dead silent. Of course, it was another home game for China as finals tickets are only sold to Chinese women once again.
