The Beast was doing indeed very well against pros in the TTD videos. Is he now too good to be a member of TTD team ?
Is any one able to guess what Beast's USATT rating would be?

the player I have going to Austria, is higher than USATT 2500, maybe 2600+
there is 2 x 2500 players that train with the team (one had a highest of 2602 and the other 2542), and this player is higher. So that is the least for bench marking I can come up with.

he did loose against a 2630 rating in a US youth contender, but with very close game scores, basically all 2 points

3 - 1 13:11 9:11 16:14 13:11

The player only played 4 youth contenders this year, featuring in 3 x SF exits and 1 x R16. 3 times loosing against he eventually event winning or basically U19 top 10 players in the world which I think are around 2700.

I am guessing you need a good 2600+ to be able to even get in some top leagues in Europe.
2600 maybe is bench player for some teams.
Kanak for example is 2800

i don't know about USATT ratings, i don't live in US and never played there (and probably never will)

i don't think Beast has got a USATT rating, he's based in UK.

As there is no official converter, there is quite a lot of guesswork at play here. Historically, "conventional wisdom" says that you would have to add something like 250-400 points from your german TTR to get to USATT level. There is a US player (don't remember his name right now; maybe someone else knows...) who was USATT 2400, but in Germany (playing Regionalliga (4th highest league)), his rating dropped to barely 2000...

Louis Price is currently close to 2200 in german TTR, so by adding 400, one would get to 2600, although that would be a slight stretch at this point, I believe. 2500 - 2550 is probably more realistic, although he can certainly play with 2600+ players. If he is going to play TTBL (almost) every week, I cannot see him having a positive H2H record at the end of the season...as most TTBL players have a QTTR of 2300+. For example Fanbo Meng. He is actually one of the "weaker" players in the TTBL, but his TTR is 2400+ at this point; if you were to give him 400 points he would be 2800 USATT like Kanak, but Kanak is surely the better player...so, as I said: quite a bit of guesswork at play.

thank you
indeed guess work is required and with some historically wisdom as you put it, at least it will be closer than further.
I'm learning all this as we go along, so, interesting for me and thank you for the sharing!

I always know we are able to produce 2500~2650 juniors, so the next question is, how far can they go in the European leagues, since only a minority of them can have sufficient WTT game time to justify their ranking ability.
I'm hoping to start one of many that can pursue European leagues first, as a stepping stone from youth level to senior level.

I think he is referring to Seth Pech. Last TTR 2078 and an USATT rating of 2521
That's him, yes. Should have remembered the name Pech...
Rating difference of 443 points. That's at the upper hand of what I've seen so far...

Ratings (in general), however, and the differences between TTR and USATT for instance depend on a variety of factors: Regional differences in playing strength, both in the US and in Germany, for instance. Work ethic, training possibilities as well...
If you are 2500 USATT and are from the Bay Area, you might only lose 100 - 200 in the (relatively) weak north-east region of Germany (if at all...). If you move to the strong south-west region and start playing there, you'd probably lose some 300 - 400 points. If you are 1700 USATT in North Dakota and move to the south-west, you could very well end up losing 700 - 800 rating points, who knows?
In my opinion the rating difference between TTR and USATT "averages out" at roughly 300 - 350 points, sort of.

Happy to say, we were waiting for Austrian Bundesliga president to sign off the final document and that was completed today.
Both national federation has cleared and the player will be flying off in 10 days time.

2014 I helped a South African to play in the French regional league
2024, a Taiwanese to the Austrian 1st Bundesliga.
If all goes well, hopefully he can play in the Euro Champions League (and face Beast). Now that will be the cherry on top of the cake!
If you want to watch his games this page on the leagues site should be updated when the league starts. https://www.ttbundesliga.at/livestream-video
Some clubs stream themselves, and a few matches are shown on tv, so you might need a vpn for them. Liu Ru-Yun on the womens side is also playing next year again for a team in my city

Really?
That is cool. So she played before?
which division did she play or will play next year.

I used to watch her train some times when she still stayed in Taipei, but she moved to Kaohsuing about 2 years ago

She only played 4 out of 22 games last year, don't know if it is going to be similar this season. Last year they played in the 1st Bundesliga lower division. They won that league and got promoted to the upper division. I would assume she will play more since she is their strongest player on paper.
Also, lease don't ask me why we have two 1st leagues btw, doesn't make any sense to me either...

Here is also a link to the backend if you want to check out (past) results more easily https://oettv.xttv.at/ed/index.php?lang=en&lid=7312

I see another TPE player on there, I don't recognize the name.

Liu is still a student + very active on WTT Youth.
So i'm guessing time in Europe is limited, She probably flew there for 1 month and that was it.
She just finish high school now, so she should have more time.

Thanks for sharing, I'm completely new when come to Austrian/German leagues, but I better start learning now.

I had another request to fill a player in Germany, lower division though, but the timing contradicts with our national team trials, so that will be a bit more difficult this time.
our national team trials are normally 1st week Dec.
Some genius made it 1st week Nov this year.... lol

Once the club releases the news of the male player I am talking about early, then I will also share the name here. Like them to have the first news opportunity :)

Speaking of the topic, sadly Beast wasn't featured during the 1st match of ASC against Borussia. Instead, they had Leo de Nodrest and Guilhermo Teodoro. I hoped Louis could win competition against these two, hopefully he can do it later in the season.
was he on the bench?

I saw TTD is in India UTT now

Sadly, I haven't seen the broadcast, as Dyn became almost completely inactive on YouTube. They only broadcasted 1 match out of 6 in the 1st tour on YouTube : ) And it looks like they will also be broadcasting only a single match during the 2nd tour as well, so RIP.
I respect Dyn's willingness to collect a subscription fee on their portal but I am probably not gonna pay for German broadcasts that I don't understand.

I see.... what a pity.
I saw something from TTD feed somewhere and I think I saw Beast in the background in India UTT for the 1st match. Which is the same as the 1st match in Bundesliga
I could be wrong, but I think he could be missing a few matches
