You can go to any club in America and work with a coach. It has nothing to do with club politics, their parents were not broke then. These players have been importing and switching clubs and coaches since they were kids. The first time I met Jishang Liang in 2011, he was Allen and Amy's coach brought in to train them. Same with Henry (Zhongqi Zhang). It is far more about what the player prioritizes, even today. They may not have regular exposure but they can get someone to hit with them extensively if they want the training.
Amy is now with 888
i'm sure you now that
And I'm sure you know the photo they used of Amy, 888 even had the logo of Joola scratched out because they are a "xiom" club

never the least, with a Korean head coach, no other country can train choppers or get onboard good choppers training partners than a former Korean national coach.

In America just because you are at a club doesn't mean you can only work with that club's coaches or players. When Kanak works with 888, they are going to remove his Butterfly logo too?

Let's stop this.

no, because they don't have a problem with Butterfly
I can tell you privately on what problems they have.

never the less, 888 is busy becoming the super club of Americas, if not already.
the head coach was seo's coach
they need a top chopper, not just any other chopper

BTW, did you guys notice that LJK appears to have lost some weight? I wonder if that's gonna make a difference for his game.
It's nothing new, he goes back and forth between weight gain and loss depending on motivation. I think the retirement of Ma Long has probably given both himself and the coaching staff significant motivation to reinvest in Liang playing at his best again.

Looks like Miwa recovered nicely from her loss at Almaty. No problems whatsoever with YXX.
The loss might have been deliberate for all we know. She and Kihara conveniently lost at the same time. The WTT rules around defaults kind of encourage it over defaulting.

Watching the American women play choppers is physically painful.
It's clearly an area for growth, clearly something that improves the quality of the forehand topspin and also clearly something that they all are allergic to working on. Though to be fair, Lily has gone from terrible to serviceable.

More weight = more momentum to use for weight transfer = higher shot quality lol. But it would be easier to move with lower weight.

Amy's FH is something that has been obviously a problem for sometime. When she lost to Adriana Diaz she lost 60-70% of rallies that went to the forehand, so it's not just a problem against choppers. She's just too comfortable playing playing a BH dominant game. She also played brain dead against Bergstrom, giving many weak balls to Bergstrom's FH that were attacked for winners.

If I was her coach I would drill with game situations where Amy is only allowed to win points using FH loops. Maybe Amy can learn how to do the Mima Ito smash against choppers. :)

I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Amy's forehand has always been a bit flatter naturally, and more speed than spin oriented and while this isn't great, it has some strengths - it is difficult to rally with when the timing is on, and she has gotten better spinning with it, whether she will be able to make it a formidable weapon at her level of play is an open question. But the issues with Amy's forehand as you point out are well known, but it isn't just a comfort issue, and you don't get to that level without there being some logic to what you do. Amy smashes a lot, but she is fairly tall, smashing like Ito is not for everyone.

The main issue with all the American ladies is that they are largely speed oriented. But that said, someone who knows her intimately will have a better story. But just trying to hit the ball hard without rallying with some spin to pick the right moment and ball on your terms is not going to cut it against Bergstrom.

So Chuang is not retiring yet?
while staying on, he has a good perks as a player.
My guess is, stay on as long as possible

he said he was retiring after Rio
I will stay on, if I am still fit enough to travel and have that perks.
Maybe just reduce competition and play in the manditories only and keep world ranking above 50 or not weaker than no 3 in TPE

Does Harimoto have a chance against LSD with that display by LSD vs Duda?
Well, Duda improved his score each set, from 1 to 2 to 3! If it was a best of 21 games then he would've been on track to force a deuce eventually :ROFLMAO:
