here I found the thread: https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/fo...ot-using-is-xiom-calderano-hal-anymore.33644/ check out that YouTube video
There you can see that the layer right next to the core is pitch black and is thin. It’s not something like this:
You can see the responses in the previous thread. Nothing is clear, tbh

This summer before olympics I messaged Calderano‘s management. I asked them if HAL is discontinued, and if Hugo uses HAL or Hugo TMX. They told me he is still using HAL.

Of course you can say they are not being honest or whatever, but its the most reliable information you can get

I mean they’ll obviously say Hugo HAL since the blade he uses looks like that. But the question is the actual composition. You really can’t work it out from the pick in that thread but in the video it’s visible that the composition is different than the commercial one. Not sure if it’s actually an inner force as the poster said in his thread but it looks different and there’s a reason he got a new blade

I knew you would say that. Its all a big conspiracy (obviously) and ONLY the 480p youtube video will bring the truth.

All jokes aside, I cannot say you are right or wrong from the youtube video. And no one here can know for sure what he is actually using. Lets see what Xiom says once Hugo TMX is gonna be released. And hopefully, Hugo HAL will still be available in the future.

At least according to XIOM Europe, it wont be sold again. For other regions, I dont know.

i can just say that my two hugo HAL looked exactly like the one in the video you linked when they were new.
That’s weird. Both mine, my teammate’s look like the one in TTGearlab’s review. The one in the review is brand new

a picture from yesterdays match against patrick franziska at montpellier
It looks like the one in the video, an inner carbon (it might not be tho). But it 100% looks different to the regular one reviewed by TTGearlab

maybe you should look up dark limba and then know why this is just a normal variation. mine look like the one in the picture more dark and gray not as orange as in ttgearlab, but as doppelmoral said, we will never know for shure and if you rather want to believe that there is some dark secrecy behind it then you are free to do so

Heard from Yogi_Bear that it'l likely be next year. The other rubbers/blades not yet released should be around the same timeframe.
I dont get their releases. In this years catalogue it says Fall Launch, same as the Omega VIII and Vega H Euro and Asia. The Vegas released quite some time ago and the the others will be next year?

I don’t think it’s a wooden ply, it looks way too thin for that. Also, it’d make more sense if he went for a thin axylium carbon ply from the regular axylium. And perhaps it’s the angle but the core also looks thicker. And you can’t even see an orange part anywhere, whereas originally that’s the layer right under the outer layer. But I guess we won’t know for sure until sb takes a closeup photo or until he switches to another blade.

Nowadays, you can think of those as Estimated launch dates. They are subject to change.
