I’ve recently set up star national ma long hurricane rubbers FH and BH on no 2 player edition w968. Unless you’ve got Chinese technique with the full arm swing, the blade is exhausting and rarely did I over hit the ball. The spin/quality is the highest I’ve experienced, higher than do9c and d05, and opponents said they can feel the top spin ball dig into their blades when blocking. It takes a strong impact to activate the blade, a 100% shot with full body weight transfer into it. Any shots without an active stroke will sink into the net but you have full confidence if you hit with all your power the ball will still land on the table. It’s a forehand monster, gave me the feeling I could not miss on forehand attacks and I found I was more consistent but backhand is a weakness. Without perfect technique you will struggle on backhand compared to a viscaria type blade, due to its centred balance. It’s a very head heavy blade. The blade is currently in storage now. Unless you’ve got access to a coach to teach you proper Chinese technique I would not recommend the blade. A viscaria is more suitable for 99% of people on this forum opposed to hurricane long 5.
