LSD has way too good of a block and countering game that will neutralise a bigger percentage of Hugo's attacks than what he likes. Also because LSD has smaller and faster strokes than Hugo, it is pretty difficult for Hugo to outrally LSD in fast close table topspin battle imo. LSD will win unless Hugo plays like a superhuman Ma Lin with insane short game + 3rd ball loopkills from both wings on anything long, and he needs to maintain extreme focus and consistency to make it happen. Easier said than done.

Replace difficult with impossible and that's my thoughts.
I (currently) cannot see how Hugo can win, the gap is too big. WCQ was a good matchup for him, LSD not.
However, I thought the same at Incheon SF 2024 V FZD and Hugo wants 3-0 up before winning 4-2 so I guess you never know!!

Everyone has a weakness. Tomo beat him at WTT Finals Fukuoka. Felix beat him 4-0 at WTT Champions Montpelier. Odds are against Hugo, but he's played amazing so far.

It is interesting to me that Dan is active in this thread but you are asking me this.

From my perspective, Igor is a troll but it is mostly silly and harmless.

I deleted the comment you were referring to because it seemed to me in bad taste. But for the most part, Igor is not malicious or problematic. I am not sure what he posts is reason for banning.

@Dan is free to decide differently. But, I am not going to ban someone for posting things that are silly and, at worst, in bad taste. Most of the stuff from Igor that I delete, I don't even bother to tell him because it is not really a problem. It is just weirdo stuff.

This was the story of the match. When Ito played short she was winning. But she stopped doing it at key moments, maybe because of impatience or nerves, like she expected to lose, and so she lost.

I have never seen him fault serves until TTR is implemented. Good change as he knows players got reviews. W umpire.

I’ve seen him fault players several times and have actually met him in person at a WTT Star Contender in Europe and he’s a great guy

The whole match only LSD got called out and it was quite funny when the umpire was right and the look of LSD face after the review is hilarious. I think for him it was twice and the umpire was right for both times. I don’t think LJK did any illegal serving or anything. I can’t remember if the umpire called out LJK for any illegal serves, I don’t think so.

I don't think CNT have sparring partners like Hugo with such superhuman strength, Hugo will have a chance in this match.

Hugo should just do what he does best, bomb it from the back from both sides. It worked well against WCQ, it will work against LSD too. Hopefully.
I remember Faraji did exactly that to LSD back in Asia Cup or something.

Pretty hard because LSD has much better defence than WCQ. But if LSD cannot deal with the quality of Hugo's 1st attack he is in a bit of trouble.
