Using pink for table color is a crime. It's so hard to see the ball in videos all the time.
Video is already so much better!!

It is worst in the crowd to follow the ball. i think color management is a weakness - you can't have bright on bright.
the table is too bright + white ball + bright lights + pink and white surrounds.

luckily the players can see, and that is about it

How tall is Amy now?
height has no relations imo
I saw her in 2016 world juniors for the first time.
she was a lot shorter back then and had the straight leg style habit already.
But yeah, I'm sure she would have a lot more advantages by lowering that center of gravity.
She has some of the best coaches in the USA, so I'm sure it is being addressed.

Was a bit sad to see Anna loose.
still at only 18, Anna should break into the top 50 soon

If you put it that way, many TTD users fit that label, too.
but you don't go around the world glorifying TTD users, but you do that for tieba users
are they really special, or really just some randos on the internet?

I'm sorry but there's not much going here that is worth glorifying. What insights have you offered over the years? Pretty much none. What makes you think you are any different from them?

Just in case you haven't realized why other users have commented teiba users as randos, I think you need to ask, how many people on TTD views tieba user posts as insightful, maybe not many? or none?

if you want to share teiba randos posts on TTD, you should do the same on tieba.
unless you think teiba are insightful, zeio is insightful and everyone else on ttd is not.
there's not much going here that is worth glorifying
oh, there is nothing to glorify on TTD?
yeah, that is indeed how I see you look down on all TTD users for years

what amazes me is how little you are, but yet you look down on everyone else.
maybe some TTD users see you as a god, or maybe none.

See who's talking here. You have the gall to say that when you have consistently pulled rank on me and quite a few other members in the past.

Last thing I want to hear from someone who has shared fake news and unverifiable claims.

lol

oh well, I guess i will be way more connected with CNT than you and your tieba user mates will ever be.
that is the difference between me and you.
I have real life friends, not some anonymous profiles or randos.
our styles are very different since day one, I don't hide behind fake names and have fake friends doing everything anonymous :)

The bottom line is that citing the posts of random posters on another forum doesn't give us any insight here. But you are free to continue the practice.

I was expecting Anna to win that match easily but it was nice to see Amy successfully come back after being down 1-3 and to win it 4-3.

Harimoto has his moment as a conspiracy theorist?

张本智和:想开一点,我们也制定不了规则。什么都没说,但又似乎说了很多

The early draw is a first. Like the straight KO draw for Paris 2024, it's likely done to drive media interest, notwithstanding the conspiracies.

I do provide my own insights along with them and/or use them to supplement my own insights. As Steve Dainton stated, China and Japan are the biggest markets. Those folks are the ones who generate the buzz and support the development of professional table tennis.

Those of you who don't like them, no one is forcing you to read and reply. What have you folks contributed for the sport of table tennis in any form other than complaining about them? Just because you play and watch the sport and most of them do not play but only watch the sport?

Just dug up a post I made back in 2018 on the T2 and ITTF joining forces. WTT has at least gotten the audience part right. Folks (likely non-paying) have long complained about empty stadiums. Now they complain about noisy Chinese fangirls (whales). What next?

https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/t2-and-ittf-join-forces.16871/#post-217628
That is the kind of audience the ITTF want to capture. People who don't play but may otherwise be interested in watching or following. Those girls remind me of how I got drawn to table tennis - Olympics coverage on TV. The school also happened to have two concrete tables. I dived right in with a shakehand hardbat in penhold grip. Got trashed by the inverted-yielding tyrants. Couldn't be noober, but I persevered. Didn't even know they were called hardbat and inverted until much later, much less about shakehand and penhold. There is this "nerdy" aura around table tennis that puts it in a bad light in mainstream media. T2APAC is a commendable initiative to introduce the laymen to the competitive nature of table tennis. They may not play it in the end, but the least you could hope for is get them to follow the sport.

Sure. Most of the value you contribute to the forum comes not from your opinions but your translation of well regarded foreign (news) sources that we do not have easy access to in the West and tieba users do not qualify as well regarded news source. Like I said you are free to continue the practice, I am personally not a fan, and I am pointing out that it is silly enough to site the opinions of random posters who none of us know their level of expertise purportedly because they are from Japan and China or any random place. It's not like those of us who have travelled to China and Japan are inferior to all the players and posters we meet in those players (in reality, far from it, players of all levels exist in many countries and most professional players have little time for webboards but we would welcome their insights if they were tieba users).

What we do to support the sport is quite frankly none of your business but most of us organize and play events in the West and coach quite a few beginners etc. None of this regardless has any bearing on the fact that we do not find the opinions of randos on tieba insightful - we are okay with debating ours.
