If Duda had done this against WCQ at the World Cup, he may have won the match.Interesting TTR challenges from Walther - 2 x successful - ball hidden by Bardet's head

It was match point and he didn't use it. If he had won it at match point, he would not have had to do it again lol. After first one WCQ would just change serve and does it
Didn't help lol...Lin Gaoyuan Training | US Smash 2025

The word on the street is that they originally had a venue (nice one) that was separate from Orleans for tables 2, 3 and 4, but it fell through last second and they had to pivot into the temporary tent.Someone with more knowledge needs to answer that. I would imagine the host city is paying for most of it.
When did they start implementing TTR at WTT events? Wasn’t it going to only be used at ITTF events such as WTTC and WC?Interesting TTR challenges from Walther - 2 x successful - ball hidden by Bardet's head
So you mean Duda worked hard on making his serves legal so he could be mad at beating a player who used an illegal serve to beat him? Everyone has their own opinion for sure since we dont know what he would say. But you know mine. I am sure Rosskopf realized it later and taught his team to use those challenges. Germany are smart about such things.Let's say Duda did this and won. Duda himself wouldn't fully satisfied with this win.

I mean if I won match because I simple used this challenge future I wouldn't fully satisfy with this win and wouldn't feel I won because I played better
I don't know. Germany is known as 德國/Virtuous Country in Chinese, after the pronunciation of Deutsch. LOL Duda earned many Chinese fans (notwithstanding many of them were WCQ haters) on that day.So you mean Duda worked hard on making his serves legal so he could be mad at beating a player who used an illegal serve to beat him? Cheating is very different from enforcing the rules. And Duda is very meticulous about keeping his serves legal. He has one of thr rarest things you will see in table tennis. A high toss reverse pendulum serve. Anyone who goes through the trouble to develop that cares about following the rules.I don't know. I remember Boll once pointed out an edge ball on match point and when asked why, he said it didn't feel right to win like that.
In principle, a player can't request TTR unless the umpire has made a call but somehow that was not the case for World Cup 2025, and needless to say, things got ugly and personal quickly.Cheating is very different from enforcing the rules. If not for the herniated disc in 2023 (in second place on the selection standing), Shinozuka could've been the other MS player for Paris 2024.Sad to see Shnozuka catching LHJ disease. Not a good sign for his future.
