So Ruiz (2470) beat FZD, but Bertelsmeier (2480) takes 1 game and stays within 2 point margin in all games and we are supposed to be surprised right?
its just so tiring talking with you, you just want to argue no matter what.
unless you feel it is normal or not surprising for USATT2700 players to loose or have close matches with USATT2470/80 players. It doesn't mean loosing once, that downgrades the 2700 player to 2470 level.
It is clear FZD is not performing normally or to his reputation and 1st match was a huge shock to all.
He would fight back sooner or later, because he is just that good and CSL results has shown that he can still play despite being retired from the national team.
So what ever happened the first match day, is history and a ugly one for FZD, a debut he probably doesn't want to remember. Today is today. and today, I wasn't expecting FZD to continue to live on thin ice and other than a 2430 opponent, he is barely going past 2480 players and doing it by 2 points only.
So I'm not surprised by these 2470 / 2480, but I am surprised by FZD can't really rise to his par just as yet and maybe this adaption is really a discussion topic of merit and not just a loosing excuse.
Of course I did say previously that all these players will target him, since not many would have the opportunity to face an active grand slam winner in a match up. So there are both players factors in play, just making it less comfortable for FZD. Not to mention an away match and possibly the first time he is using Andro balls and tables.
So bravo for Bertelsmeier by keeping it all in 2 points today. He was near, but just couldn't pen a win over a grand slammer. I would expect FZD to adapt better and faster, never the less, this also shows you how tough the Bundesliga is and every team (except for a few) does have all star line ups that can all beat each other on a good day.
PS. Few months ago I talked about Pro A team roster is stronger than TTBL because the influx of CNT players (that didn't pitch at the end). I am truly wrong, as the TTBL line up are actually really strong this season
