I wonder why there are a bunch of Chinese women going but not a single chinese man, not even YLC or XHD type players or the youth.
They are probably under pressure to perform at China Smash and are being drilled to perfection?

This tournament is after China Smash tho. Why not give some youth or the B/C team some more wtt experience?

It may have to do with the National Games in early Nov (see the Tieba post in my first post).

You raise a very good question.
if 6 womens can go, while can't the mens.
the mens need it way more than the women's imo

Sure but then how does it makes sense that SXY is there? Surely the National Games are important to her and the other CNT women there?

Exactly. I would send WRB and HYZ especially to these type of events. They are low enough WR to be allowed to and they need the experience, PLUS it raises said low WR if that’s a big concern for CNT.

Hell, even WR31 LGY should go to this if he wants any hope of reviving his career…

That means she is not important (and not really needed)...

For WS, 8 out of 9 ENG players on ITTFWR are in (2 in main draw and 6 in qualifying), except for Poon Yat (could've qualified by her WR), who used to be under HKTTA. Anyone know why she has opted out?

For MS, 8 out of 10 ENG players on ITTFWR (4 in main draw and 4 in qualifying) plus 4 unranked ENG players are in, where Pitchford is out due to a hip injury, but why not Rohan Dani?

My tickets are for semi finals and finals, so unlikely that I’ll be watching ENG players 😪
I’d like to see the 4 Japanese ladies play live, so hopefully seedlings pan out and they reach the finals day! Of course if Anna Hursey makes a deep run that would also be good to see!
On the men’s side I’m hoping to see Harimoto and LYJ🤞

Some Nigerians there, curious as to how they will perform...
I was there yesterday and watched two of them - youngsters fought hard but ultimately were outclassed. Lots of group team photos being taken and they seemed to have a good time but looked like they were going home.
