Sun Yang impresses me as a chopper and can honestly be the best male chopper in a few years if he isn’t on Team China. He seems destined to be a practice partner to me, of which that is a great shame. And I looked at the senior World Rankings, only Huang Xunan (17) is ahead of SY in the ranking for Team china juniors, so I’m guessing there is just either no one to replace him, or China really want to develop a chopper onto their team.

I expected a close match between Taipei and China, especially with Kuo and even more so if Chang was there. But I am surprised that only SY took a match for China, and that WRB did not win both of his matches in which I would probably expect him to win given he is Chinas top junior. And I agree with the point that China’s youngsters have years they don’t win these. I don’t think they can beat Taipei’s (proven lol), Korea’s (Kim Gaon is better than WRB imo and the other Koreans can flip flop with the other Chinese), and Japan’s (without Sora even, Kawakami and Yoshiyama can beat LHC downwards and even maybe WRB) youngsters.
So what do you think of Kim Gaon now?

India beat TPE!
The kid who won for India has medium pips on backhand, very nasty player with serves and forehand and likes move the ball around and change depth and tempo. I like his style.

He’s WRB but better than the actual WRB LOL

Jokes aside, Kawakami is, along with Sora, the future of Team Japan after Togami and Shinozuka fall off

WRB is not a finished product. He is still my favorite for singles.

No I agree. I think given LHC’s draw, WRB stands a better chance to win over anyone, although Kawakami is in his half I believe

That's where Chinese analytics and coaching against key opponents play a role. No doubt Taiwan did a great job. But I suspect countermeasures will be deployed.

India u19 men are on a roll and into the finals. Obviously their system is currently working now for table tennis youth development in their country. They have UTT but also have junior version of it as well.

@Tony's Table Tennis is this an error. Is there a Korean player on the U19 boys team for Chinese Taipei called Choi Nahiyun

Since the protective mod(s) refuse(s) to let me keep pongfugrasshopper's ad hominem post while I was trying to defend my stance, which is a prerequisite to explaining the background of Muramatsu's dilemma this year, here is the alternative solution.

https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/fo...s-2025-cluj-napoca-11-23-30.38203/post-552128
You have been banned for the following reason: Obviously, you think you are above moderation.. Your ban will be lifted on Nov 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM.

To keep it short, a bunch of Tieba users have kept really close track of the latest generation from JPN (namely Matsushima Miku, Muramatsu Cocona, and Ishida Kokomi) and some of them who are clearly fans of Muramatsu and not fans of Matsushima (in contrast to those who are more cautious about their future potential at this stage) have criticized JTTA over favoritism for Matsushima (who has also been criticized by Japanese netizens for the same poor behavior as her older brother) by changing the selection criteria for U15GS of WYC 2024 that cost Muramatsu and those born in 2010-2012 the singles spot last year. However, in terms of H2H back in 8/2025, Muramatsu had lost to Matsushima the previous 5 times in both domestic and international matches (not unlike Yoshiyama Kazuki constantly losing to Matsushima Sora) and Muramatsu also routinely loses to KNT players despite some notable wins over CNT players. Therefore, this WYC 2025 is Muramatsu's chance to prove her value as the first singles player despite finishing 2nd in the selection trial and also being lower in WR and yet she lost in her first U15GT match and had a poor start in her second...

yes, India development is working.
many coaches and countries should study the India system and learn from them.

@zeio,

If you have an issue with a decision taken by moderators, I suggest you take it up with a moderator or the site owner. If you continue to post things that the moderator has deleted without finding out why they were deleted, you will be banned.

Your original post that drew attention called a 13 year old player "useless". Initially, @pongfugrasshopper wanted to argue the issue with you, but then decided to bring the post to the attention of moderators. He deleted his post for that reason and because he didn't want to derail the thread. The trend of insulting players explicitly is not something we plan to encourage here (at other websites, it might be different and you are free to do so at other websites if you so choose). That said, we haven't made a formal announcement around new moderation direction so I have delayed addressing that until such a time.

However, it is one thing not to know that @pongfugrasshopper did or didn't delete his post and another to decide that if a moderator (in this case myself) deletes your reposting of what he posted, you can repost it. I would recommend in such situations that you find out why the post was removed if you haven't been told already.

I don't think there is any explanation of calling a 13 year old player "useless" that I can take seriously, but I accept that it is something you feel righteous about. Words like "undeserving", "benefactor of favoritism" etc. would have captured your intent better even if people may not agree with your assessment (obviously yhe JNT and coaches do not).

In any case, your last post is the last post that will be tolerated on this subject (and on this thread for sure from anyone). The tournament is ongoing and is one of the most popular tournaments with fans of TT so let's keep the focus on the tournament. You can decide by how you deal with it it whether you want to continue posting your insights here or whether you want to litigate the issue on this thread. Litigating the issue in this thread will not be tolerated and will result in your being given more time to relax. You can take the issue up with any of the staff if you want to continue discussing it. You don't have to agree 100% with what the staff does here to post here but I am sure you can find a balance.

Have a good day.

counter measures result so far is Wen has a 6 win, 4 loss against Taiwanese players in 2025.
counter measures only works when the player are good enough.

many Chinese players also have the same counter measures and Chinese analytics, but if you are not good enough to deliver and take out the main foreign threats to protect the main Chinese players then the problem is the player and not the resource group.

I am quite disappointed with CNT U15, as the incorporation of CNT C team was to fix the junior structure and these U15 players are from that batch. So far, it is still a fall.

The matches were close. Singles is coming. We shall see. But you are right , it hasnt been a complete reversal. But Jang Woojin was still a better player than Liang Jingkun for 2-4 years after their WJTTC. But around 2018 or so, something flipped. So it will be interesting to see how this trends out and whether WRB will be good enough.
