Nextlevel giving an astonishing near 300 post likes (liking other peoples post) in the past few hours.

A true moderator that is making himself heard (his near 20 posts a day) and seen (near 30 likes a day), and complimented (receiving 15 likes a day) - but last count he was on 5xx post likes, so he has been working extremely hard to like many users posts in the past few hours (we can say over half a months work in half a day) - I am so touched so I went to investigate how much hours he has been working to let all members know what he likes and loves, and there was one angry face too.

Here is my findings. Good work Nextlevel

@Dan @TableTennisDaily

Post - is the amount of posts the user made
Post Likes - is the amount of posts the user made
Giving Likes - is the amount of posts the user received.

Isn't Post likes and Giving Likes naming a bit funny?
I actually raised this when the new site can to be

Post Likes can be fine, but Giving should be replaced with Receiving, or something like that.
what do you think?

Thanks, @Tony's Table Tennis . You brought this up a couple of months ago and made it a competition. A silly competition but still a competition. I was told that you put in some effort into winning on Saturday. And this is my final month playing the silly game, I decided to put in some effort to claim a silly victory that cost me some valuable sleep during a period where I am coming down with illness. I was pretty sure I was going to lose and was pleasantly surprised I won. Thanks for the send-off thread and I will see you on the forum. Cheers.

PS: Thanks for making me read a lot of threads. I learned a lot about equipment and looked at a lot pf discussions I usually wouldn't read and got lots of good laughs. It eill definitely help me with future webboaed dynamics and understanding where I can facilitate moderation best.

I have not been trying to beat you. You been doing double of what I am doing and I just wanted to see how far you will go. A few members who complains about you said they will like a lot of my posts, but without them, I am still probably 600+

and I sure didn't stay up on the screen pressing hundreds of likes because you want to be part of a "silly competition", you did that, not me.
But with you effort in trying to be popular - well done.

But you better apologies to @TTTT and ask him to come back. There are many people not happy with your style or arguments and I'm sure you have realized that by now, since you have stopped doing it, or were you too busy pressing likes, you had not time to type? anyways, just don't become another slitt or what ever his name from mytt.

Cheers

what is the point of all this; it is not like the top contributor gets a free piece of Zyre03....
nextlevel said he doesn't like to loose, that is why he fights hard on ttd to beat everybody, including starting arguments to continue old fights.
nextlevel is king poster of ttd, no one is trying to take that away from him, and he is a hardworker as you can see!

and yeah, you don't get anything from Dan.
Actually many years ago I got a MyTT shirt. that was the only thing I got from table tennis forums as a thank you.

It is funny though, in my notifications there were a bunch of posts I made in 2015 that were liked today. Who was hitting the "like" button on posts from 2015? :)

It was one of you and he isn't on the moderation team. :)

it was me, trying to see how much time it takes me to like 100 posts.
i gave up trying
this was that share your racket thread.

and i thought, nextlevel should keep his crown for trying so hard, 300 likes in 1 night, imagine if he does that all the nights, there won't be enough posts on this forum for him to like.

I always thought that part of the site was kind of silly.

And I think it is simple to say that you guys both offer something valuable to the forum.

The forum would be dull without the two of you.

its was the most enjoying time for me on TTD in recent years.

and yeah, that ping pong balls is silly, but I actually like to see how many posts I made and how many people actually acknowledge it.

and I think you are enjoying your time too now. seeing you post more "normal" stuff.

Tony,

I have a lot of evidence you were trying to win. You don't like posts from 2015 if you are not trying to win. You just didnt understand the nuances of the algorithm that I figured out or you would have won easily. It is okay, I find the game silly but sometimes I enjoy playing silly games.

I don't tell you what to do even when I disagree with you. I dont tell you what to do. Please treat me with respect and treat my moderator title with respect because ultimately a lot of what you were doing was tied to winning this silly game. Anyone who reads some of our interactions in that context will understand what was going on. But I accepted it because you were playing to win.

Anyone who does a cursory search or posts where I interacted with @TTTT will know exactly what I meant and understand exactly what I said and will know that I meant zero malice and that any offense taken is just as much about how he feels as it is about anything written. I don't understand his response and he can always change his mind. What I said about him was hardly different from me talking about @Gozo Calderano using fast blades, or @piligrim being a fan of Hugo or @pongfugrasshopper being a fan of Japanese ladies TT etc. or @PoppaChubby talking about Coton and Poret etc. I was interacting with him in the context with which I have primarily interacted with him in the past.

That said, you are free to take it as you wish. I will try to get them to fix the column titles for giving vs post likes. I think that should more accurately reflect your popularity and contribution to the forum.

this was few mins ago and not even part of the stats.
who was sitting in front of the computer for hours clicking on likes if you didn't want to play this game?
check this again if you missed it
it was you playing this game lol

my text with you in those thread, especially about TTTT was because that response from you is low.
many users have had enough with you and left
some stay and feel you should be de-mod. I told them to inform Dan.
the reason is, you love to argue.
Just like you going on for month about me saying MLTT is for older players or weaker young players. You took the beef and use that to attack. That is just who you are and what I told the other members is, you just gotten worse now.
you can't accept that I said MLTT is older players - but look at the age of some of those older ones?
you can agree to disagree, but no no no, you fight fight fight.

what ever the beef is (search history) with TTTT is before you were a mod.
even you said you will be a nicer person after being a mod, and being that, you labelled him something to chase him away.
The guy had a valid post, and you just can't change your spots can you?

I'm sure I am many of the ones that are interacting with me are not the only ones having issues with you.
I told them to make it known to Dan or make it known to you.
Its up to you to use what I am telling you, or just continue your way and let TTD become like Mytabletennis.net

That said, you are free to take it as you wish. I will try to get them to fix the column titles for giving vs post likes. I think that should more accurately reflect your popularity and contribution to the forum.
thank you!

Please treat me with respect and treat my moderator title with respect
PS. you getting mod title doesn't automatically get respects, you need to earn it. I think if you take this in, in a positive way, it will help you earn that respect - the respect you used to have on TTD many years ago.

Ok ngl, the whole concept of this thread is hilarious, and it gave me a good chuckle today. But on a semi-serious note, Tony, don't you think you're perhaps taking this a bit far. I mean I think it's fine to give each other a light hearted ribbing every once in a while, but at times you turn things adversarial. You have great contributions both on this forum and in the TT world. But Nextlevel also has great contributions on and off the forum. So why not focus on the contributions rather than having an adversarial relationship.

because he has beef with me?
I had to place him on ignore list to have some peace

while I think all those TTD users turn friends on whatsapp, who posts to inform me on what is happening.
I some times do choose to "show ignored content" and see what they talking about, and that gets me working up again.

Carl had a good list of mod candidate that I was going to give to Dan in person, because the many tries Carl did end up no where.
I am glad one of them did make the cut, and a bit sad many others did not.
any ways, I have had my last say in my previous post to NL, if he wants to use it and make ttd better with him being a mod, he should earn the respect and forget all the beef he had with everyone, or users will be asking for his removal and he would likely one day exit TTD. Either one of this is not ideal.

Maybe they should come to you and complain about NL and see if you willing to try and help.

I argued on Mytabletennis.net and have been a moderator there for a while. In fact, I know many moderators on various sites who debated a lot of people. But when they became moderators, the first people that take insult are usually those that have exchanged contentious arguments with the moderators. But people know that when a moderators is very clear on what he is doing and is focused on facilitating the functioning of the webboard, sometimes behind the scenes, that os valuable as well. Usually the people who complain loudest about someone being a moderator are just as much expressing their desire not to be moderated because he understands their mindset.

In my experience, very rarely does an insult or joke etc. require moderation and most people don't care about such unless it drives a flame war that disrupts a topic that they are interested in. What causes most people to report threads is behavior they think should not be on the webboard at all. This is rarely about interaction between people where no context is available. If someone reports a post, a good moderator will spend a lot of time investigating the context before taking judgment. That's why I read a lot of posts, it gives me a better insight into webboard dynamics, making it harder to use moderation simply as a means to settle scores. In fact, most people do not like sterile webboards. They just do not like webboards where there is no ability to get things that drive topics astray addressed.

In the end, you may not agree with my decisions, which is where you can take them up with @NDH or at the moment @UpSideDownCarl . It is okay to disagree with me, I am open minded to perspective even when I have strong opinions. But what I will not accept is people disrespecting moderation or abusing the moderation team etc. Makikg it a habit of doing so without having discussions with the moderation team in good faith will always get a quick ban from me. Because trying to show up authority just because you can is disruptive to the forum.

I happened to look at the responses you made and you said that because I interacted with @TTTT on these things before I became a moderator, I should not note them after? Sure, I will discuss that with him as I already made overtures to him on that thread which I think anyone reading would have seen. But I am not the sole judge of that, maybe you read it differently, since tou have reported my post and I will let other moderators decide when the time comes. Since he left he probably didn't take it that way either.

I am largely done posting here. I will take your posts under advisement. Maybe it's just a very rough start. But there is a future ahead and work to do. At the very least, I am sure some users are happy their first posts and registrations are being approved more quickly. They won't have a voice here. The main thing is that people were equally skeptical when I started moderating at mytt. At least your thread can help them put in context things that some of them might have struggled to explain with the interactions between us doe the last three months. So as much as I get that some of them might agree with your view of things, my hope is that they dont think you are a completely disinterested party.

No I just am not a fan of your posts. I thought that was why you didn't like my posts either.. you just were not a fan of mine.

Gotta go play some TT. Hopefully the discussion in my absence will be enlightening.
