Having a little trouble checking out using (non credit card) Paypal or Gpay... Is this an issue of not having a credit card linked to those (I have debit and bank accounts) or do more people have issues?

Hey Tyce, it's a strange issue it might be something to do with having to change the location to make the pickup option work. I think only card option will work in this instance, sorry.

Likely this is the case. If I do find a workaround I'll get back to you

Edit: turns out I can use my debit card nowadays for the Card payment method. Problem solved!

Hi,
I tried to use paypal at checkout to get a ttd shirt and it is not working. The paypal pop up appears and then disappears after 1 second. This is the case for pick-up and delivery. @NDH / @Dan any advices (except using cc) ? Thanks in advance.
Hey,

Unless @Dan has had any breakthroughs, I think CC is the only way forward at the moment!

To our German and Dutch friends:

I'm bringing my wife along for the TTD meetup in September. It's our first time in Europe, so we're planning to extend our trip at least a week to see more of the country. Since Düsseldorf is close to the Netherlands, we are considering spending a couple days or so there, as well.

For those of us who've never had the privilege of visiting either country, where would you recommend us to go? Any "If you only visit once, be sure to go here" places? Any weird/unique foods or drinks to try?

And, uh...should say we're from Canada while we're there? 😅

(@NDH If you think this should be a separate thread feel free to spin it off.)

Germany:
Düsseldorf itself is famous for its japan town. We call it little Tokyo. Its a nice place to have a cake/boba date with your wife :). Eko Temple, a Buddhist temple with japanese garden. Benrath Palace is a nice visit. Fun fact: the term neanderthal is coming from Neander Valley located near Düsseldorf (they have a museum abt this).
Visit Köln or Cologne and Aachen for its cathedral.
Monschau if you want a medieval vibe.
Phantasialand if you are a rollercoaster adrenaline junkie.
Xanten, you can see ruins of an old roman city. Other roman cities are Koblenz, Mainz, Wiesbaden, Trier.
Try local beers! Almost every city has it's own speciality. Like Kölsch in Cologne and Alt in Düsseldorf. Fruity teas from Germany are also very delicious.
In fall/autumn you will get Flammkuchen (a creamy thin pizza-ish) with Federweißen (a not-yet-done wine, sweet and sparkly).

NL:
Not really familiar with NL, but I've been to Nijmegen, Maastricht and Utrecht and i find them really nice. Some people say Utrecht is a nicer and less crowded Amsterdam.

If you are a ww2 history enthusiast, i can recommend Fort Eben Emael in Belgium.

This is wonderful, thank you! So many cool places to check out... My wife and I lived in Japan for 4 years so we definitely have to go to Little Tokyo. ❤️

You better believe I'm going to drink way too much beer over there...Hopefully with some new TT friends! 🍻
