Best Chinese Alternatives to D05 Tier List

Hey shyphantom can you detail a bit more the aurora max. Did you apply booster? What hardness did you get and how heavy is it?

Good to hear! I'm glad it worked well for you too. Did you use Seamoon booster or something else?

I used a regular version of haifu booster on a mid-hard version. I can say that I controlled the boosting process. Applied a thin layer of WB glue on the sheet then with booster. In the first application,the rubber reacted quite well. After 6 hrs, I applied another layer of booster and let it dry for another 6 hrs. Here is what I am telling awhile back that I somehow controlled the booster. After applying 2 layers of booster, I removed the glue that I applied on the sheet. After peeling that off, I repeated the process of putting a thin layer of glue and last layer of booster. That's it. I think the boosting process will be lessen with the medium soft sponge as it is already somehow soft. I will try that in the future.

For FH...I guess I would have to say GTX.
For BH...maybe I would say Moon Speed 53 because it is available on red. haha. Aurora Max is excellent too...I'm just not 100% sure if every sheet is as good as my sheet, or if I just got lucky with a rubber that reacted so well to booster. Moon 12 is good, but I don't want to be blue for the rest of my life.

Yinhe - Jupiter 8 Tour Plus is a Euro-style rubber that could fit this description. Though more similar to the Nittaku - Fastarc series but a bit grippier.

Having seen LAC reportedly being a H3 substitute, I will have to disagree without having even touched the rubber.

Honestly there will not be one D05 has some fantastic qualities and feels quite unique. It's like asking the best BTY rubber as a H3 alternative. there isn't one D09c is just a different rubber

It just illustrates what part of D05 is important for the original poster. I'd say having a red sponge and a firmer bounce are two things they have in common

Completely agreed, It can mimick the hard attacking shots well but isn't as composed imo or as pradictable when playing slower and might actually be closer to a lower tiered K3 than D05.

the best D05 alternative is T19 or D80 imo but thats a bold statement as they cost the same here

I know this is meant to be a chinese rubber list, but I have been using Nitakku hammond z2 and I find it cheaper than D05 (1/2 the price on amazon). I replaced the D05 (1.9) with a HZ2 (2mm) as it added a little more speed without losing any control but it may have a touch less spin the D05 has.
