Concern about a new rubber

Hey Guys!! I recently bought a new racket : Donic Whiper Inner Carbon + DHS Hurricane 3 Neo (Prov.) 39 degrees OS + Nittaku Fastarc G-1. As soon as i got it i teset the hurricane's tackiness it lifted the ball around 8cm which I think is good as I owned a Commercial sheet before. However, a day later the rubber has no tack, its topsheet surface is matte and the ball bounces very high on it almost like a tensor. While hitting topspins the ball gnerates around 75-80% of the spin my commercial used to. But, the rubber has almost no dwell time and also I don't feel that nice feeling of the rubber sticking to the ball and lifting it up while looping. it just feels like a european rubber while viewing and while playing. I also noticed that when i clean it with water the water doesnt reeally stay on the rubber and spread, it just forms bubbles on the rubber almost like the rubber is hydrophobic. My question is whats wrong with the rubber? Is this normal? Can it be fixed and if so how?

Pretty normal for new formulation Hurricane topsheets, unfortunately. Nothing you can really do about it, it's really just luck of the draw wether you get a good topsheet or not imo

My blue sponge sheet is the same. I boosted it and just gone with it. It lacks the insane spin good sheets have. Still very much a solid rubber and good even in humid conditions. I would just boost the heck out of it and play until it's time for a replacement.

Do you know why they changed the topsheet's tack?

Cheaper to produce, and modern game gives more advantages to speed than spin, due to 40+ mm plastic ball.

My H3 Neo Provincial OS 39 degree has retained the tackiness for over four months now. I clean it after each practice and cover it with a protective plastic. It retains good performance so far and shows very little wear and tear. Did you maintain it properly?

I got it a few days ago. I clean it after each practice with water and put on a non-adhesive protective sheet. It has been just around 3 days now. Is your hurricane still tacky after 4 months and is it looking glossy or matte(like the photo I posted)?

The blade is fast for me as i was playing with a very slow blade before.However it's not soo fast that I can't get used to it. I am not too aware about the characteristics as I am still getting used to it. However I know its NOT good for defense or block and pushes are pretty fast with it. And if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them )

The tackiness diminishes with time but very slow if you clean an cover. The surface starts looking like shit very quickly but its just cosmetic, It still retain great grip. I change about twice a year.

Ooohh But mine is 3 days old hahaha, and I know the feeling of the topsheet looking like crap because i used to use a H3N Commercial however from the beginning till now over a span of 1.5 yrs it still is able to pick the ball up 7-10cm for about 4sec

Then you have either abused your sheet or gotten a fake one, On different blades I have gone through dozens, boosted and everything and none of them has been bad.
All of them provincial.

Lol, Believe me i did not abuse it and its not fake either because i verified it with the Anti-Counterfeit code and it was legitimate, also an update: i tried adding a few drops of water and then putting the sheet on it so that the water spreads evenly and left it for a day. After a day it was dry and the rubber could lift the ball a bit (not hold just lift) but since there were some effects I will redo this for 2 days this time.

Thats a good start, clean it and protectors om after every session. Let it dry so that no water is visible and after the protectors are on use your to squeeze out as much air ss possible. If your protector sheet is somewhat transparent it is easy.

That was my experience too...until my latest 2 sheets of H3N national BS. They were both matte and minimally tacky, and believe me they played quite differently too. It was fine on drives, but on brush loops they were awful, just no grip. They were both from Prott where I get almost all of my other H3Ns, and the anti-counterfeit codes were legit.

It is no longer glossy, that disappeared quickly, even though I took good care of it.

It was fine on drives, but on brush loops they were awful, just no grip. They were both from Prott where I get almost all of my other H3Ns, and the anti-counterfeit codes were legit.

Had a similar experience with my LAC. They were getting a bit old and slow, so I thought, what the hell, why not try boosting them? Then they “lost” their ability to spin.

TBH, I think I overboosted them and they just became too bouncy for my limited skill level. I suspect the lack of dwell time caused the ball to bounce off too quickly, so it didn’t have enough time to pick up spin.
