Concern about a new rubber

Then you have either abused your sheet or gotten a fake one, On different blades I have gone through dozens, boosted and everything and none of them has been bad.
All of them provincial.

That was my experience too...until my latest 2 sheets of H3N national BS. They were both matte and minimally tacky, and believe me they played quite differently too. It was fine on drives, but on brush loops they were awful, just no grip. They were both from Prott where I get almost all of my other H3Ns, and the anti-counterfeit codes were legit.

I got it a few days ago. I clean it after each practice with water and put on a non-adhesive protective sheet. It has been just around 3 days now. Is your hurricane still tacky after 4 months and is it looking glossy or matte(like the photo I posted)?

It is no longer glossy, that disappeared quickly, even though I took good care of it.

Had a similar experience with my LAC. They were getting a bit old and slow, so I thought, what the hell, why not try boosting them? Then they “lost” their ability to spin.

TBH, I think I overboosted them and they just became too bouncy for my limited skill level. I suspect the lack of dwell time caused the ball to bounce off too quickly, so it didn’t have enough time to pick up spin.

Overboosting probably wouldn't affect dwell time much, sounds more like a technique issue. However the harder the rubber is, the more feedback it also gives, which could be what you experienced change once you boosted it and softened the sponge so you got less feedback.

Boosting generally improves dwell as it softens the sponge, but keeps the hard/tacky topsheet, so it allows the ball to sink into the sponge while the ball stays put on the tacky topsheet.

Provincial H3 hasn't been truly ball pick up and hold tacky other than the first day pr two for a number of years now I actually find commercial to be tackier usually I still find it really spinny however

Theres a local shop that offers rubbers and gluing service and I got it done there.
