Other than pre-game scouting ( which I guess all professional players would do ) , how much time do you allow yourself to judge a player and how do you do that ( e.g. serving different serves, trying to return a couple of smashes , trying short / long pushes / flips ) and when do you decide to impose your game rather than play to a players weakness ?

Hi im new to table tennis my problem is that im very good with back hand shots but im unable to play fore hand shots with consistency sometimes i play very good fore hand shots whole day but on the other day i again cant play shots,when ever i try a forehand smash i feel like im unable to exert power on the shot on the other side i can play back hand smash shots very comfortably kindly suggest me what i can do...??

There is no easier side unless you put long pips on that side , and what Dima does in not correct , its just his quirk, he wants to keep his backhand open because he does more of the attacks from his backhand.
