Some have poor, improper, inefficient strokes/footwork, then try to do too much too powerful and they get all tore up. The better players get their injuries from trying to do too much before the body heals back up. Sometimes a rest/nutrition thing, but mostly an overuse issue. Often back and knees, but could be anything go wrong.

- Deficency from growth (especially from poorer areas), will lead to weaker bones and higher risk of injury
- Mismanagement of player work load (or lack of)
- Incorrect or lack of warm up and cool down
- Bad shoe, bad flooring (wrong shoe for wrong flooring) - leads to ankle/knee injuries
- Incorrect technique (leads to back, shoulder, wrist injuries)

Okay, there is so many, i'm just going to reply the above for now, a bit jet lagged....
Will add more when i'm more awake

Hello Guys!

I just want to know what are the common reasons or mistakes made by professional/starting players why they end up having an injury?
And also what are the common injuries in Table tennis?

Thank you! :)
using wrong techniques cause problem .... and also not wearing suitable ping pong clothing like shoes .... shoes are important ... you should feel free by the shoes u choose ... and another reason is not having warm up and strenghting in body .... . the most serious injuries are shoulder and wrist ...

lol, i'm more awake now, but super busy with TT. Almost becoming a full time job for me now.

I think I covered most of the basics now.
Maybe another one is poor health care practioner

Body structure from how it growth up then how the player trains/plays, then you get surround factors like environement, flooring, air, then you get 3rd party like health care. Basically lots of extra things that add to stress of body - ie travel, bed, eating habbits, posture etc.

There is a lot.

Several table tennis injuries are pulled out up in teaching for the reason that of freak accidents. For example, when a player leaves balls deceitful approximately on the floor or spills water without realizing, leading to them slipping over and seriously injuring themselves.

I must be lucky not to witness or heard of this for over 20 years of playing lol
PS, we have 500+ balls on the floor at times. And when I used to train, the floor was full of sweat (water spills in a way).
