TPE is now a lot stronger with no 3~5
Who would have thought Chuang sitting out.

Feng is a top 30 prospect in my books, ahead of Kao
Feng didn't make national team last year, so lost all his ranking points.
While Kao had a good year, and climb a lot.
Hope he can finish off Falck now

with Kao there, would Chuang still be in the olympics.... technically, Kao is ahead of Chuang

Kao showing lack of age and experience
loosing concentration and execution went all over the place.
Same with Feng, lack of experience and poor execution at the end.

Overall, I'm happy with today :)

TPE all star team Lin, Kao, Feng is pretty much set for the future.
with Huang to blossom still and Guo to get older first.

Still a couple of youngsters who want to get in
ie. Chang and Hung

Here is Hung

Here is Chang

Both 15/16 and making the senior TPE men's team.

Denmark moved Groth to the third slot since they realized that Slovenia would likely rely on Darko winning two and Kozul winning the third slot. I didn't think Rasmussen was good enough for the strategy to make a difference but between his play and Hribar's choke job, it was enough to make it work.

Tasei reveals in a mixed zone interview before practice on 2/20 that Harimoto has spent much more time on footwork recently and it shows in the match against LYJ.

Harimoto says he wants to play the Lebrun brothers since he's played them only once.

Matsushima says he wants to play ML, an existence he's longed for.

https://world-tt.com/blog/news/archives/163553

Falck almost did a South African there
It was a choke job, by the time he recovered, it was too late. If he had the same mindset in the 1st game that he got to late in the third game, he would have played much better. The pressure got to him and he started thinking too much.

I always wondered why the Japanese broadcast just calls them "Taiwan" while the English broadcast calls it "Chinese Taipei", which is supposedly the official name.

What do other foreign language broadcasts call it?
Strictly speaking, they should follow the IOC country codes.

It's Japan's own way of adhering to the One China Policy, that Taiwan is part of the PRC. The naming of "Hong Kong, China" as 香港/Hong Kong, "Macau, China" as マカオ/Macau, and "Chinese Taipei" as 台湾/Taiwan is in line with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, which does not recognize them as countries, where they are listed under "Other Regions".

It was definitely a mix of both Kao relaxing and Falck giving up and relaxing out of hopelessness. But Falck played way below his level - Kao should probably win but not that much.

Seems like whitehead Watanabe favours Miwa over Hirano. Based on his track record the lineup for the finals is going to be the same.
Like Sleepy Joe, does White Hair look like he is in charge?
