YOU CANT EXPECT THE OLD SPINNY BALLS BACK, GONE IS GONE.

As soon as the poly balls came to daily life, players all have set to complain of poor amount of spin with the novelty balls. But most of explanations about this phenomenon were solely non expert bla bla bla.
We looked into the matter from structural engineering standpoint and the actual reason is quiet obvious. Classical mechanics accounts this all pretty well. Plastic ABC and nitrozo celluloid known to differ in physical density by far, 1.40 versus 1.05. This makes all the difference between the two types of table tennis balls. It is quiet hopeless to get ball spin enough unless improved poly balls of high density ABC materials, come out onto market some tomorrou's day.

Be happy, prolonged patience makes you a real man.

Which balls are most spinny.? That is the question.
38mm cell balls why asking ? it's so obvious !!!

But, I'd say that the Nittaku *** 38mm cell balls could be loaded with a gazillion of ridiculous spins ! way more than any other brand, still to this day the FFTT uses Nittaku as the offcial ball for any official indiv tournament. For team leagues there are other brands accepted though, depends on the club's choice, but the Butterfly are by far the worst balls you can imagine, Butterfly has never been able to produce any decent ball in its history, go figure !

I know a table tennis enthusiast who has ~4000 balls. If you are serious I could maybe help you to reach him :)

Hello,
to our great regret, our Spanish friend "pepenkoo" (Josep Francesch), who started this thread, died a few years ago in a ridiculous road accident.

If anyone is related to Mr. Franckaitis, please help him contact me! I wish you success in the sport we all love!

RARE PRODUCTS FROM NITTAKU.

Pilot production of 40 мм balls, a gift by courtesy of Nittaku owner Mr. Kavasawa. Came to my hands back in 1999. Perhaps the world's very first batch of "еnlarged" 40 mm model balls, The balls enclosed 6 per box are graduated by weight from 2.67 to 2.75 gr, so as to collect player's feedback and comments. I guess. To me, the heavier specimens of 2.75 gr feel the optimum upon impact.

Limited edition. Not for sale.
