  1. Post your latest EJ purchase

Went a bit crazy and tried everything here except for the Volant Phoenix and was pleasantly surprised with the Arthur China. Very good rubber for the BH, a tad to soft for my taste on the FH side. The Cuifeng and LanYing are good alternatives for H3, a bit easier to generate power and speed...

I got bitten by EJ bug recently after 10+ years using H3 on my FH. Now trying some other Chinese hard tacky rubbers for fun
  5. Looking For Feedback On 3rd Ball Attack

The quality of your 3rd balls on FH side are better than the BH side, but you need to recover faster to get ready for the 5th balls. On the BH, your 3rd balls lack power, consistency, and placement to be effective during match play. Nice spin, though. You may want to work more on the...
  6. Chinese rubber on backhand

I use 40-41 deg Chinese BH rubber (H3, Loki Rxton 3, Battle 2) and can loop on both wings just fine. In fact, all the benefits of Chinese rubbers on the FH are the same on the BH if you're very active with your BH and have the technique for it.

The vita alc plays like the Long 5X due to the thinner outer wood layers. It feels even crisper than the 75 inner to me, with probably the same speed and spin on lower gears. The vita has higher ceiling in shot quality, and bot blades shot above their price point. If you like inner carbon...

So far it's the closest to a W968 to me, and I like it the best out of all the inner carbon blades I've tried. In term of crispness, Nittaku So-ten < W968 < Surge < Q968 ~ Jinshi KLC Pro. The Surge is not as head heavy as W968, a bit less arc on both sides, less dwell time, so a bit lower...
  9. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

Not at all. I have a Loki Telson CNF blade and it feels very woody, but lacking in speed & power.

  11. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

I didn't know that I would be able to come definitely as I hiked the Qixing yesterday and my legs hurt. Anyway, I got to play with a decent guy, probably around 1800usatt. But well, maybe I will try my luck again another day before I leave.
  12. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

At 6:50, only me and two older people are at the club. Not my lucky day, I guess.
  13. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

Arrived at the club around 5:30PM and nobody's here. The club itself does look nice, though.
  14. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

I'm going to Taichung for some TT with an old friend this Thursday so may check the stores there as well. So far I bought a Stiga Surge, which is not cheap, but considering it's not available outside China/Taiwan, I'm happy with it. Also does the university club open to the public? I might go...
  15. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

I went to Taipei's 3 highest rated TT stores on Google Maps and to my surprised the variety of stocks are not great at all. There are no Stiga Cybershape Wood/Clipper or Andro Synteliac inner carbon blades. Close to no higher end Xiom blades and rubbers as well. Butterfly are so dominant here, I...
  16. Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

They're having a local round robin tournament and let me join. The level is not really high, mostly of recreational players. It's very relaxing and people are fun to play with, which I really like. Edit: Apparently this is their junior and intermediate tournament, with the advanced tourney held...

On my way to the "What happened" club now. Hopefully it's not so busy and not so empty at the same time :D
