If you're considering a blade with the Waldner name, also look at the Waldner Off World Champion 89. High quality blade, made in Germany, very smooth shaped milled handle, and is considerably cheaper.

Looks like someone added some 'banding' around the edges, either to prevent damage or add weight. It would certainly change the properties of the original blade, so it's not really the same blade anymore. Of course that does not mean it's not good... some may prefer it that way, other may not.

Thank you. That's pretty much how I do it as well, but I use the old Butterfly foam cleaner. I find that mine does not get tackier though, it just maintains the tack for much longer. Do you put the adhesive protector on when the rubber is still wet from cleaning, or do you let it dry? I'm now...

No it's not, the trajectory at different speeds is quite different compared to 09C.

I'm curious what maintenance you're doing to increase the tackiness? If it's getting tackier it's probably changing it's performance, as the tack usually does slow down the ball.

I've had it with DHS No 15 as well, it just turned into the solid mass, with a foul ammonia smell. o_O

I think it's closer to 09C but less lively. It has a really hard sponge (like the harder H3) but the topsheet is soft and sticky, much softer and stickier than either the H3 or D09C, which makes it play quite different.

That doesn't say anything about marking the sponge, it just says you can't glue on a different sponge.

The responses always seem very supportive/agreeable to the question asked. It also seems that most chatbots don't keep the memories of previous conversions/sessions, so they're not learning from interaction with people. Perhaps they'll 'evolve' too fast if they did. :)

Also remember that for these Chinese sticky rubbers, the black sheets are almost always significantly tackier than the red sheets, so if you want tacky, get a black sheet.

Hopefully (for our US friends here) some of the retailers have stocked up before the tariffs came in.

I used that only for OX sheets like long pimples, because it's strong and very thin. I used Donic Vario Clean for almost all rubbers, because it's easy to use, good bond, not too hard to remove and amongst the cheaper glues.

My experience is the complete opposite, I would never choose the 9mm one, because it bends too easily, making it much harder to get a neat cut along the edge of the blade.

The earlier versions of the DHS balls were terrible, they cracked virtually every game, that's probably where those comment orginate. These current (last 5 years or so) D40+ are extremely durable, I rarely ever break one from playing. They become smoother over time, but all balls do this, but...
