I am experimenting with Integrating chatGPT AI model with the PongFox table tennis robot. There are a few ideas that we are thinking of. What do you guys think will be a useful feature for training with a robot and AI assistant?

Thanks for your feedback, It is OX and no sponge. In terms of conversion we used the earlier template as everything was ready and to change anything means I have to spend some time on it and I was held up with other things so will keep it in mind for future video's

Yes, I think that a video with a different angle would be an additional data along with this. Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to figure out these things as we go along. Hopefully as we keep iterating we learn together and help us understand this better :-)

As I had mentioned earlier, the first few videos are for us to understand this process and figure out what data makes sense to collect, once we have a better understanding then we can look at analysing the data

This time, attempted spin, with a few modifications from a video shooting standpoint, including increased lighting and slow-motion footage captured with a mobile camera. Additionally, data was collected and added some charts at the end of the video. Excited to be going to WTT Goa next week :-)

It does not give us any numbers in relative to other rubbers, also there is going to be bias. The way science works is that there has to be details given for others to replicate

Thanks, I will look into the strobe as far as the wood is concerned , it is easier to borrow other peoples equipment for now as I do not have the budget to get rubbers specifically for this.

At this point I am trying to figure out camera, software and other things. Once we have the basics we should be able to collect better data to be able to answer some of these questions

Thanks for the suggestions. Camera is a limiting factor as I don't have a good one to slow it down. I am looking around to see if I can get access to a good camera for higher fps. As you rightly mentioned lighting is also a big factor and in future we are planning to add a bit more when we get...

yes agree, I am also a big fan of playing random ball when I train. It helps with the minor adjustments to make for each stroke to make up for the positioning. Another thing I like to do when training with the robot is to mix up random with different speed of the ball to move in and out as well...
