  1. Heming Hu, 2xOlympian (Rio and Tokyo) in Table Tennis here to help your game and personal struggles in the game

I will offer a simple option that may work. Don't worry so much of grip, you can unconsciously change it... mush easier to do that if you make the BH to FH or FH to BH transition easier... to do that, have arm bent and elbow in front of body and to the side some inches.
  2. Heming Hu, 2xOlympian (Rio and Tokyo) in Table Tennis here to help your game and personal struggles in the game

Takkyu, Dude, you in Japan and not married and have a real job as far as I can tell... ...maybe I should write how to get a HAREM.
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I did a tourney this weekend only one event and Tourney William did not show up, only club William... which is not good for comps. Maybe for US Open I will really take everything seriously and be able to eliminate life nonsense and focus right. Still, I made semis in a field where 8 players in...

Takkyu, That is almost like asking the dude how old he iz... :D
  5. Why was Harimoto able to defeat all the giant Chinese but Xu Xin?

Xu Xin is one of the all time ultimate team player warriors for CNT who did not puff himself up before the world to demand chances for titles or Olympic Team slots... he simply gave everyone trouble.

I would say some immediate high value items that would benefit a large number of players on TTD would be... SERVE RECEIVE Ready Position/Reset and how to transition in a rally BH Topspin Tactical Intelligence - How to realize what is going on and how to adjust Mental Performance How to...
  7. Advice for my terrible receive

Many Germans keep telling me that I am not such a "Hesse" despite Der_Echte living 7 years there. Must be my Southern roots... Germans also frequently encourage me to stay echt and gerecht :D
  8. Opinion: Butterfly Pros using Tenergy were playing better than using Dignics

This is good to discuss... ... the pros and cons of a rubber's inherent natural trajectory... An obvious advantage of a lower throw rubber is that many of your pressure offensive shots land deeper to endline and bounce lower... we could argue there is more pace and spin with that too... what...
  9. Opinion: Butterfly Pros using Tenergy were playing better than using Dignics

I can say that I cannot use ANY of the Diginiski rubbers at all. My kind of impact is not well suited. I could use T05 in the early days when the sponge and topsheet were more dynamic... but modern T05 felt too stiff and not as dynamic... could use it only on a few blades. T05FX had always...
  10. Advice for my terrible receive

You look like an Echte Deutscher... and you know PS and PPS. Sehr gut. I am not a Deutscher all all, even though I can get along with Deutschers in Deutschland very well. :D

  12. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

YES. My high level friend disliked those BTY G40+ balls even more than I did... and that is a damned difficult task to do. That is why G40+ balls in a Nitakku sleave all gift wrapped with care was an act of love to my friend. He would expect nothing less from me and would take my temperature to...
  13. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

I agree with you about the skill of the opponent, but a ball can make it easier or more difficult to do something... and if a player has no way to adjust, they are screwed, so it is the player in the end, yes, but equipment affects things for sure.
  14. Advice for my terrible receive

Maybe you struggle on serve receive against players other than this one... so I would understand why you made this thread. In this vid, you opponent is doing exactly what a many levels higher opponent should do and there are very good reasons why you struggle in many areas. When I did see you...
  15. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

As for weight of Nitakku Premium, I would suspect they will be closer to 2.6 grams than 2.7 grams... but I still gotta do the test I promised on 5 balls to know for sure. My own empirical testing and experience shows the Nitakku Premium has a much lighter feel at impact and it gets slippery...
  16. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

I will do a weight test of 5 of the Nitakku Premium and see for myself. I did weight tests on nexy training, Joola training, and DHD D40 (DJ - the WTT version)... All of these balls are DHS D40 balls with different levels of actual QC. All three of the DHS made balls came out to 2.68 grams per...
  17. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

I call these people NTB. NITAKKU BALL SNOB We both know several of these NTB in our region, they insist on playing ONLY with Nitakku Premium *** and nothing else. mess with them occasionally and slip in a Joola training ball during pickup matches and see how long it takes for them to realize...
  18. Table Tennis Crisis

You playin' against a mental strong and consistent player in Thomas F. Dude is Der Zersteorer in German. Killing people softly by getting it back.
  19. Table Tennis Crisis

Of course true, However, if you did a good job seeing what was happening and were decisive early, choosing to play a well leveraged aggressive shot is not out of order at all... you still have good percentages on your side if this shot is within your technical capabilities. Where people get in...
  20. Long pips: If you can't beat them, join them

When I went to Korea, it seemed like there was a national law saying all women over 40 years of age must use Long Pips and a pushblocking / inverted hitting style. So what did I do to get used to playing vs this crowd? (other than simply playing vs them a lot) I built myself a similar OX LP...
