  1. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Idk if I'd even call it wasting a chance, he's just not very good. He actually performed better than I expected, I thought Kallberg was gonna walk all over him. He has a big FH but that's dime a dozen. His BH is weak, his service/receive game is just so-so, and there isn't much variation to...
  2. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Kinda surprised CYY is giving Kallberg all he can handle. He doesn't seem to do anything particularly well, I like Huang Yousheng a bit better, but he's playing well right now while Kallberg isn't.
  3. Receive short topspin or dead ball ?

You need to learn the flick or short touch then, probably in that order. With that said, I find it a bit hard to believe that a well placed block wouldn't work against someone near your level.
  4. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Nobody's strength is his BH when playing against LSD. It's something potentially exploitable if you can make him worry about his FH, but if you go into a match thinking you're gonna win by forcing him into BH rallies then you're gonna lose.
  5. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Very good match between Kao and LSD! Kao still needs to work on his BH a bit more, need to keep himself in the rally with his BH and then overpower LSD with his FH. He had good success attacking LSD's FH in the 3rd game but became a bit too predictable. He should've switched it up a bit to keep...
  6. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Looks like An's time in the super league has been pretty helpful, just beat Jorgic 3-0.

Improvement takes a long time and is often nonlinear, just keep up thr good work! Now that I feel my FH training is at a good level, I'm gonna switch to the Q968 and focus my training on the BH. I kinda like this process thus far, training one side with equipment that's weaker for that side...
  8. Trying to fix my robotic forehand

Yea that's what I mean, the entire body moves like a whip
  9. Trying to fix my robotic forehand

You definitely made some progress through the session, though not so much in terms of fixing the "roboticness". If you look at your stroke, your arm/wrist is at its most stretched at the beginning of the forward stroke. But if you look at pros, their arm/wrist is actually at their most...

Yeah, it's like I just don't know how high to aim. It seems simple, if it's topspin, brush over it like you'd do with a topspin and vice versa, but somehow it still takes a bunch of trial and error to make it connect. I guess when I loop them on the FH side I don't really think about how much...

The 968 is like that girl you just can't forget. No matter how many times you leave her, you always come crawling back :ROFLMAO: I just played at the club earlier, played a few singles and a few doubles. My last set of doubles I switched to the Q968, my goodness the FH is glorious lol. I like...
  12. Feedback on my League games

The first guy played a lot like you, with footwork being the limiting factor. On that particular shot it's the timing of acceleration, you started a bit too early. It helps by staying loose and tighten up just before contact like the shot that followed. For some reason your BH stroke...

Had to deal with vertigo last weekend, so didn't play that much. Had some light practices with the robot after the worst was over, then back to regular practices by midweek. The FH motion is feeling more natural, though I still fall back to old habits at times. Need to continue to pay attention...
  14. Is it bad to mainly focus on the weight transfer while having a fixed arm for doing a forehand drive?

I wouldn't focus on that, I think he me at something different with FH drive. I think he's referring to a loop that hits into the blade rather than a brush loop. As for whether the motion looks robotic or not, oftentimss it's not a matter of how much you're rotating, but how well are you using...
  15. More tacky = more spin??

Think about how spin is generated, how can tackiness create more spin? It takes energy to break the "stickiness", so tackiness can only reduce speed and spin. Its usefulness is mostly in the short game, and can also have a small effect in situations where the ball may slip on the rubber. If the...
  16. CNT ditched Wang Manyu for WTTC in Doha 2025

It's not tentative per se, it's simply not the list of participants. It's a list of qualified players published by ITTF, and WMY didn't qualify due to her not participating in the ATTC last year. As mentioned before, national federations can replace the qualified players with others of their...
  17. CNT ditched Wang Manyu for WTTC in Doha 2025

Right, the list is not through the CNT but through ITTF based on automatic qualifying criteria. WMY isn't listed because she didn't participate in the ATTC last year due to a family emergency. The currently listed players can be replaced by their national federations, and I'm sure WMY will be...
  18. CNT ditched Wang Manyu for WTTC in Doha 2025

That's not the final roster, it won't be set until 3/17. I'd be extremely surprised if WMY isn't on the final roster.
  19. What is the weight of your current setup?

FZD ALC + same rubbers as you, 195 grams, feels pretty light as the balance is better than my W968 of slightly less weight.
  20. Videos from my Training Session

I see, I think you should post some clips of you doing that drill for real then. FH loop against block is one of the most basic drills, and it's very pertinent to what you'd like to accomplish which is landing FH shots in a rally. The most similar drill to that in your 10 videos is Video 8...
