I have a black tagged viscaria and hate the way it plays. I think it could be either the placebo effect making people think it's better. or maybe the people who really like it more just have a better viscaria. I think it could be just as likely to get a silver tag viscaria that plays nicely.

EL-P feels closest to t05 IMO. mx-s doesn't feel lively. I can't see pro's using mx-s, if they want the speed of a tensor, they'd go with something else. if they want the feel of chinese rubber they'd go with something else. I could be wrong though.

I like seeing that. If stiga were to force a top player to use their equipment and then their rating went down because of it, that would be terrible publicity for stiga. So let the player use what they like with stigas name.

I think it comes down to how much the company would be losing by letting you use something else vs how much they'd gain by accommodating you.

But don't you think if nike were to sponsor someone and be willing to pay 2 million and adidas were going to pay 1 million. Even if the player likes adidas equipment more they'd go with the sponsorship that paid more.

but do you think if the nike equipment caused their player to play poorly they would say use it anyway? or just put their logo on a different piece of equipment.

I highly doubt it's in their contracts. If you were a company like butterfly, would you rather the player you're sponsoring play better and pretend they're using butterfly equipment. Or would you rather them actually use the butterfly equipment and play worse.

I dont see how using equipment from another company can be problematic. if i'm sponsored i see it as me advertising for that company. i can still use whatever equipment i like as long as i'm getting their name out there. I'm sure apple commercials aren't shot with camera's made by apple. and...

best way i could describe it, would be the feeling of mx-s. problem is after about an hour of play the pimples started seperating from the sponge.

i've actually talked about this with friends. one of my teachers has put h3 onto tenergy sponge and i've been tempted to put mx-p on it ever since.

I love the times when everything seems to be clicking well and i play WAY above my level. That and the feeling of the ball on my paddle when i hit a shot correctly. Those are my favorite parts of the game.
