doubt they're fake, people aren't looking for celluloid ball deals because the deals are everywhere for them now. only way to know for sure is test them. give them the wobble test

If you believe that the black rubber is tackier with chinese rubbers then just choose to always use black for your forehand.. Problem solved :)

I've had various coaches tell me that thicker sponge does not add spin. All it does is sacrifice control but give you more speed. 1.9 also isn't very thick so you should be fine with that.

with these rubbers any blade will have enough power close and far from the table. I recommend an all wood 5 ply. maybe yasaka extra. that's my favorite for under 100usd. i think it runs about 45usd

you're saying it bounced on the back edge. i go for these, i'm imagining edge balls as when it goes downward still.

i tend to get in position to do my stroke before it hits the edge. so when it ticks the edge and continues to go down i don't see myself going from my looping stroke to a dive. nets are another story, i always try for those.

I tend to not try for edges. Occasionally theres one that i think i recover though.

The only way i can ever see messing up my serve is if I lost focus on the serve itself. If I'm focused on what to do after the serve that's when i see myself potentially messing my serve up.
