  1. StehTischtennis In NYC

Why does he look photoshopped into the pics? Is he just that radiant?
  2. Chip/crack in wood at the top of the blade.

It will raise the placebo effect, at least. You will have something new to blame when you miss a shot. ;)
  3. Ittf????

+1 I really hope the ITTF takes a good look at this. Maybe it'd wake them up a bit.
  4. Rebulding Fundamental strokes for my game play

How anyone who studies taoism could confuse the piece Tao Te Ching for Taijiquan is beyond me. You surprise me for the second time today, Siva. ;)
  5. Rebulding Fundamental strokes for my game play

That being said, don't try to strive to be 100% as mechanically efficient as possible if it distracts you from the important aspects. Many great players have not been exactly perfect mechanically, and as an amateur, it's unlikely you will ever really utilize your body like the pros do. Just...
  6. Don't ignore ! , viscaria vs spw

I'm pretty satisfied with my Allround Evo myself: it probably wouldn't be a bad buy. Just be a little careful with it, it's a bit fragile. Mine already has a dent on the side.
  7. Rebulding Fundamental strokes for my game play

Carl, I meant that Siva picked up the right stroke to use his touch pretty quickly. From what I saw, he was never trying to spin, even if he probably could based on his serves. So it'd be logical to think he'd have a longer adjusting period.
  8. Rebulding Fundamental strokes for my game play

"The biggest flaw is always ignorance. Everybody told that my FH loop is really good because of the spin and power for the most part until I came to our community. " Yep. I didn't even have a loop until relatively recently. So of course because I thought I was spinning well, I never tried to...
  9. Rebulding Fundamental strokes for my game play

I watched a little. I can't give specifics seeing as I'm not that much ahead myself, probably, but it's pretty evident that you're making progress in the right direction. After having learned to spin the ball pretty hard myself recently and being able to finally loop properly with a fast or...
  10. avoiding traps

    Don't lose?
  11. Difference in colour of Hurricane 3 Neo

China uses black on the forehand as a habit from the old days, probably. The reason they're all black is because they're all supposed to be forehand rubbers, not necessarily due to the actual quality.
  12. Difference in colour of Hurricane 3 Neo

Although I don't have any personal experience with it, I've heard that way back in the day, some Chinese produced rubbers indeed had quality control problems between compounds for different colors. I really don't think it's like that anymore.
  13. Backhand reverse serve

The serve was just too insane for her to handle. She froze in place, paralyzed for the rest of her life from the sheer awesomeness of the reverse backhand serve. Yeah.
  14. How to get doublebounce spinny backhand, forehand like Tiago Aplonia away from table

Honestly, I don't think you're gonna learn a shot like this and not improve your touch tremendously. In other words, you're gonna need great touch to pull it off in a similar way.
  15. Hip sway back and forth during forehand

Thanks for the reply V-Griper. So that's it? I was avoiding pushing off excessively because these are not loops. In my loops, I have adequate hip extension and uncoiling. I suppose there needs to be hip extension to get the legs into it even in a drive. Somehow I think the ball would go...
  16. Hip sway back and forth during forehand

I am also intrigued. If a video won't do, then a short written description would be fine. Admittedly, because I made this thread, I'm not an expert on body mechanics and there's a lot I could learn, so I'm not going to disagree or agree necessarily. Some basis would be nice to clarify the claim.
  17. Hip sway back and forth during forehand

Therefore, it's best if you post a video example of yourself explaining the correct hip motion.
  18. Crazy Siva vs Fan Zhendong Unbelievable Roller Shot Challenge

NL, the scary thing about that post is, while I'm not really so delusional as to think it wasn't my own action that caused me to do whatever idiotic I've ever done, how do I know for sure? What if laughing at your past stupidity is just a higher form of fooling yourself? "Haha. It was the Goon...
  19. Crazy Siva vs Fan Zhendong Unbelievable Roller Shot Challenge

It seems every few months someone here is conspired against and made to act a fool, probably due to the action of a certain group. Then, they snap out of it. It seems that the mind control drugs said group is using have a limited time of effect. First it was me, now it's Siva. I really do...
  20. Hip sway back and forth during forehand

Oh, those aren't loops, in the videos above. I wouldn't call them drives either. They're "shadow strokes", completely useless for actually contacting the ball. I didn't notice I wasn't actually doing anything proper. The reason I do them like that is because I actually did used to come down...
