  1. Ball Boy (Fang Bo) Vs Champ (Zhang Jike) WTTC 2015

Doesn't everyone do some amount of ball duty in the CNT? I've seen the top players picking up balls.
  2. The drop shot executed to absolute perfection!

I don't understand why someone would be ashamed of getting beat really bad by some 6 year old. Wouldn't it be better to think of it as a great chance to see just how much you are lacking so you can improve? I mean, there's 6 - 10 year old's out there who topspin harder than most good adult...

I would if I could. It's not that there's no good level in Finland, it's that it's a little more expensive and harder to get to than 5USD/night and a 30 min walk. ;)
  4. The drop shot executed to absolute perfection!

I think he's had one a too many. I wouldn't take anything he says seriously right now, he has a bit too much blood in his alcohol stream.
  5. The drop shot executed to absolute perfection!

Siva, look. I'm complete shit in the grand scale of things, but even I have done enough dropshots to know just how hard this is. Even I can see how much topspin is on the ball he is getting. I hope you understand that if you were to try this, you would have to use up at least a few hours of...
  6. The drop shot executed to absolute perfection!

Shut the **** up Siva. You're REALLY sounding like me right now.
  7. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I understand where he is coming from. It's probably the last thing he wants to practice against, because it won't feel good at all during the first few days/weeks. Maybe you can convince him how much better his TT life will be if he took a few months to really get junk balls down. It's...
  8. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Oh, I know what you mean. Given all that, you were still reasonably close to his "topspin level". If you were to have a standard coached player with great technique and consistency, and an unconventional "basement player" with similar level and made them play a similar basement player of...
  9. Shoulder pain

Here in the west, our view of sports is one of some kind of struggle that we need to endure to get stronger. In the east, it seems to be more about balance and harmony, with gentleness, not pure hardness. It's no wonder then that people think that you need to "pull" on the muscles to "make them...

@NextLevel True. I overruled the whole "immigration" thing. Whoever coached him, they coached him well. He's pretty solid. Even though you're somewhat lower level than him, the most striking point about the video is that he didn't have to do anything fancy. He's going to look better than he...

@NextLevel, I saw the video of you playing Chu. You handled him really well. Was he coached in China? His backhand block and forehand loop are as "Chinese" as it gets.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

He really does look like him, but I swear that Carl has better technique from what I've seen.
  13. Neck pain

I don't know how bad it is, but he needs to also work on prevention. As a gamer, he most likely has a lot of very bad sitting habits.
  14. Serving away from the table usng double touch and racket speed

Old enough to drive, but not to drink, apparently. "No fun allowed SWATbot" is a pretty popular meme, don't exactly have to know the original publication to reference it.
  15. Neck pain

Yeah, this as well. Serious neck pain really needs to get checked.
  16. Neck pain

A quick tip would be to watch how high he has his shoulders. They need to be relaxed and low. If they're not, it will lead to tensing of the traps, most likely causing neck pain. That's one way to prevent it, and it helped me. Somewhat unrelated, but related, if he plays FPS or RTS, tell him...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I know it's a far stretch, absolutely unthinkable, but what if, your rubber is simply getting worn out?
  18. Serving away from the table usng double touch and racket speed

Because this serve is obviously a serious, competitive technique.
  19. Serving away from the table usng double touch and racket speed

If you don't contact on the backward motion, then it's technically legal. Don't expect an umpire to not call it though: that's too strange looking. Nevertheless pretty cool.
