  1. Forehand rubber to choose

By using an anti, you are aiming to put the other opponents in a tough, awkward position. Your opponent popping the ball up should be part of your game (or your intent). In addition, if the opponent is good, he or she should try to pin you down on your anti side with soft, but yet spinny...
  2. Sanwei target national new version

I have not tried STN recently. I did not boost and later boosted. I thought it felt the same. The issue is I like my black sheet much much better than my red sheet. Don't know why. Red sheet, the throw angle and everything is off. Unfortunately, my black sheet's sponge ripped when I tried to...
  3. Forehand rubber to choose

G-1. 2.0mm. If you are using anti, you are looking for ball that pops up so you will smash. For anti, you are also looking for soft spinning loops that you can counter. G-1 is great for both. I don't think you are looking to loop with your forehand much.
  4. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

I am not a big fan of Chinese rubbers for beginners. At $10 or $15 a sheet for, say, Friendship, how much money can you make? Now in North America, a sheet of Tenergy is $72. Say the coach gets it for $45-50 and cannot give it discounted (due to Butterfly regulation), the amount of money is...
  5. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

I agree with thick sponge rather than thin sponge. I agree with softer/less bouncy rubber, say Xiom Vega Intro/Elite/Europe, than harder/softer rubber, say Xiom Vega Pro/X. Today I just played with Dignics 64 1.9mm sponge on my backhand. It was fine. Nothing too good and nothing too bad. Can I...
  6. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

I agree. I think in this aspect, we have to remember this is an ad or commerical made by Butterfly, funded by Butterfly with the subliminal message that Glayzer is good. The message is "keep your Glayzer and change your blades!" I can see how Glayzer got sh*t on since it was released. Everyone...
  7. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

Thank you for linking this video. Absolutely fascinating. I agree with 90% of what Schlager says. The only 10% I disagreed with is changing the blade is easier than changing the rubber. Too many adult players get started with with Timo Boll ALC or Viscaria with Tenergy on both sides. It...
  8. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

My forehand has always been Hurricane 3 neo 39 degree. I am going to start trying 40 degree but I am not in a hurry. I have cheated on it by trying Hybrid such as K1 European version, K2, my friend's Dragon Grip, Big Dipper, etc. But I keep on going back to Hurricane. Today I played with Tenergy...
  9. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

Yes, I am pretty the new Primorac will play differently than the older Primorac that you really enjoyed. I am starting to unload some of the items in my inventory and I am surprised that some of my clubmates are more than happy to pay me for it. They usually say, do you want to trade? But at...
  10. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

I actually have a Stuor Long 5 ready to go. I have not tested it yet. Preliminary playing against my robot at home, I think I will like my Gambler blades still. As for your inverted rubber, maybe when Rakza 7 soft and Xiom Vega Europe wear down, you can try C-1 v.s. Vega Asia v.s. Vega Japan...
  11. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

I agree with you. On a slightly different topic, I have DHS Bo carbon first generation. I did not like it because it feels stiff and hallow. I have a DHS Power 8 wood blade and I don't like it because it vibrates. Some people love blades that vibrate because it gives them feedback. I just feel...
  12. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

If you like soft rubber with some catapult effects like me, you will find C-1, Rakza 7 soft, Rakza X soft, Vega Japan, and Vega Asia to be pretty much interchangeable. No need to EJ more to find out the same answer. I also agree. I don't like to venture out too far either. I want to enjoy my...
  13. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

The key is to have the same blade. Otherwise your testing result is not really accurate. I have 8 Gambler carbon blades. I used to have 9 but I sold one to a friend of mine today at the club. He really like my hurricane 3 neo on the forehand side and Xiom Vega on the backhand side. The hurricane...
  14. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

Yes yes, I understand. Once my backhand develops better, I may consider something harder like Rakza 7 regular or Xiom Vega Pro/X. I will put Donic Accuda S2 and Donic Accuda blue P2 on that list too. :)
  15. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

Nooooo, don't tempt me. Don't tempt me. :) :) But on a serious note, even I am getting cheap about getting another sheet of C-1. I mean C-1 and Rakza 7 soft are about the same price, $46 at TT11 before 30% bulk discount. With Xiom Vega Asia, it sabout $36 a sheet before 30% discount...
  16. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

I prefer softer rubber too. I think Xiom Vega Europe, at this moment, would be too soft on my backhand, except only when it is paired with very very fast, hard carbon blade. I can tell you that for my backhand right now, C-1, Xiom Vega Asia and Rakza 7 soft are pretty interchangeable. They are...
  17. Has anyone tried Xiom Omega VII Tour i?

I like the Xiom brand. But no way I am paying Dignics price for it.
  18. Advice for upgrade Rkaza 7/Rakza 7 Soft, Tenergy 5/64?

No need to pay up for Tenergy 05 or Tenergy 64fx or Tenergy 64. I always use hurricane 3 neo on my forehand. Here is the list of rubbers I have tried on my backhand: Rakza 7 soft, Rakza 7 regular, Rakza X, Rakza X soft, Xiom Vega Europe, Vega Japan, Vega Asia, Vega Pro, Vega X, Bluefire M2...
  19. Using different boosters per boost

Yeah I agree. That's why I don't get people boosting every two to four weeks for. When I transfer rubbers from one blade to another, I will boost. But mainly to expand the sponge so it can fit onto a new blade.
  20. Old Rubber?

if vaccum sealed, it is fine. they don't sell sticky Hurricane anymore so no way I am selling my sticky vaccum sealed hurricane skyline 2 and 3 neo. I will flip them in two years for triple the prices. Lol. :)
