  1. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05 Hard

Just twiddle the D05 that you already have to the FH and test it out yourself?

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvjUxcGdF8P9rUBLSyVQFea7pi9n00pRJ&si=zNDwlWv3c1J2r9Xe The real key is that you need to take 3 steps to get to the right position for the chiquita - right, left right. If you notice that the serve will be long, after the 1st step with your right foot you need...
  3. What would or could happen when I downgrade rubbers for a period of time?

There is no shortcut for improvement, you have to simply improve your technique. If youre missing too much with a fast setup, learn to give the ball more spin and manage the arc properly.

Hugo for some reason doesn't like to just do an opening loop with the BH, staying there and exchange BH-BH rallies. He just wants to loopkill the ball ASAP even when he makes 10001 mistakes doing that. He also somehow refuses to open his racket angle against stronger backspin, often compromising...
  5. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Sometimes you need to balance sports around fun instead of variety. For eg badminton used to have various spin serves which really gave the receiver a huge problem as the shuttlecock would be tumbling in an almost random manner making it very difficult to place shots properly. Is it fair? Of...
  6. Tensorlike rubbers on innercarbon blades

It depends on which poison you want. Faster setups (for eg faster rubbers or blades) will allow you to finish points much easier as you get extra speed without committing so much on the body. But on the other hand you get additional difficulties in the short game. For me I chose to go for a fast...
  7. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Usually, the higher level you are, the more popular you are in TT groups I've been at because you can learn a lot from playing higher level players (which is true). But he is the exception so far. A lot of other similarly high level players also don't enjoy practising or playing against him...
  8. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

It's not so simple. He also has immense shot quality on his balls, and his short game is actually quite good. It's the kind of "shut down the opponent" style that ZJK really excelled at back then. LJK long push is also probably the best in the game at the moment. That wrist snap generates such...
  9. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Yep I know quite a few ppl who have quit TT due to not having fun against pips. At this point, badminton or tennis seems a lot more fun to play. Everyone votes with their wallets and time I guess. For eg I'm the only one in my group who still practises against my LP/inverted penhold partner - he...
  10. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

In fact, the hidden serve ban really harmed choppers imo (along with all the ball changes). I watched a few classic choppers and the way they won was: 1) they get loads of free points from their hidden serve + FH 3rd ball attack 2) their opponents don't get free points from hidden serves...
  11. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

No - if they're even remotely worth their salt, long serves to the FH will just get you destroyed. I was talking about short serves to the wide FH, not long. Fast serves to the pips side.
  12. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

I think you simply have an agenda rather than actually engaging in a thoughtful discussion. If pips didn't have an advantage in serve receive and are less susceptible to incoming spin variation no one would actually use it since there are real downsides to not being able to generate huge topspin.

Yes, i do that from time to time but I disguise it mainly with the sideswipe and some other push variations. Tbh as long as it's short or half long it's not too bad. You're right that the hardest part with chiquita is actually identifying the depth of the serve, and knowing how to defend against...
  14. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

LP attackers are usually very high level. Pure LP pushblockers are usually quite a bit lower level. So regardless of what you do, if they're higher level you will still lose. But against that shot, you're in defence mode and you'll have to try to counter or angle block it or even better loop...
  15. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

It appears that you only played against LP pushblockers and don't have experience against LP attackers. I would like to see you try that against an quality attacking LP player. Underspin balls are all opportunity balls for LP players, it is a mistake to serve underspin to them, because your...
  16. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

If you say that serve receive is harder with LPs that's really going way too far. LPs have weaknesses but serve receive just ain't one of them, sorry...
  17. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

Yes you could use a similar stroke with LP to deal with most balls regardless of spin. I tried LPs with my offhand too and receiving/attacking short serves was the easiest thing to do with LPs. I didn't have to be that precise in reading the spin as I would have needed compared to when I used...
  18. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

That is quite the controversial statement. Even a lot of the top pros are misreading serves all the time. Short serve receive is the no.1 problem for pros in general. Chiquita is very strong, but if you read the spin wrong you will miss it, and theres plenty of chiquita mistakes. The room for...
  19. Long pips vs spaghetti-string tennis racket.

So you disagree that pips are less sensitive to spin and therefore are much better in serve receive especially against short serves?
