  1. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

It's even easier to loopkill long pushes with outer ALC because the blade already gives you a lot of speed to work with, so there's less energy requirement. It's just that LYJ is not powerful enough to punish this strategy due to a general lack of physicality. If Ma Long were to do that against...

Not just that, he needs to stop serving his usual sidetop/sideunder pendulum - that serve is just chiquita fodder at this point. Heavy pure under/no spin is the real chiquita destroyer.
  3. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

Other players are getting used to Miwa's spin quality, and she doesn't have the tricky spin variations, and also is a bit too imprecise - saw so many balls where she was in the correct position but still mishit the ball.
  4. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

I'm not sure why Harimoto is even attempting to serve fast down the line to the FH sweet spot of right handed BH dominant players. Or even half long. That is precisely the most dangerous spot to place it. If he was putting reverse sidespin to make the angle wider against someone who is pivoting...
  5. For those who think pips have a ceiling

99% of your posts are on this thread, same with Viper. You have literally 0 credibility. I won't waste any more time with you two. Nvm I figured out how to ignore... this function is rather nice.
  6. 2024 WTT Champions Incheon 03.27-03.31 Korea

This tournament has the stupid WTT side angle again... wtf are they smoking? The matches are downright unwatchable and useless now, what a pity!
  7. For those who think pips have a ceiling

Yet another personal attack from a new member on this site lmao. Glad I hit a nerve there. There's another 1 on this thread too. Maybe they're all Sjan?

By other factors you mean political and racial? Obviously you don't wanna talk about it 🙄 If thats what you want, why doesn't the NBA give 20% of the spots to Chinese players? Same for football? You're all about affirmative action right?
  9. Upgrading my Nittaku Fastarc G1.

Yes that is good too. Fastarc G1 is also quite popular where I play. The penholder I played recently who had really good serves and spinny af loops on both wings used Fastarc G1. I couldn't believe it at first but it's true... maybe it's more about the technique than the rubber.
  10. fixing the bad habit of straightening the upper body during looping

One other possible reason is that you might not be moving your feet properly. Basically, we need to pronate the right foot strongly when you rotate into the ball on the FH. This is a lot stronger than simply lifting the heel.
  11. fixing the bad habit of straightening the upper body during looping

Tony is right as always, you have to fix the technical issue before going to multiball.
  12. For those who think pips have a ceiling

Yeah but where is the affirmative action given to Chinese in other sports?! Rules for thee not for me? Also this kind of affirmative action (manipulations) is completely antithetical to the spirit of sport - where we want to see the strongest compete. There shouldn't be disgusting shit like...

LGL was the player that was most dangerous to non CNT. First by banning LGL's pips, then the ban of the hidden serve was blatantly targeted against him. China was lucky that Kong Linghui stepped up at the time. Obviously they wouldnt want to field any more pips players after that as its a huge...
  14. For those who think pips have a ceiling

    1) Kong Linghui was just a backup plan that ended up being successful - you should never just have 1 plan in a war. Once he became successful, they decided that this path was the way to go forward (though there were still penholders going forward like Ma Lin and Wang Hao who dominated the scene...
  15. Upgrading my Nittaku Fastarc G1.

D05 lasts for a really long time
  16. For those who think pips have a ceiling

I think they got discouraged when they banned LGL's pips and hidden serves (downright nasty move from the ITTF which reeks of jealousy and maybe a little racism too, idk), and just decided that they'll just adopt whatever the Europeans are playing with and beat them at their own game regardless...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

There's like 4-5 different contact ways to generate sidetopspin on the hook serve. You have to be quite creative in disguising it. I would recommend Craig Bryant's video for some starters, but there are bits and pieces i learnt from multiple sources (mainly WRM and Douyin). With advanced hook...
