  1. Do pros push topspin serves?

No, but you do not need to be to understand the laws of spin and the techniques most sensible to apply. Of course you can PUSH a topspin serve, but if you do what most people would consider a push, then the ball will rise very high and be smashed by the opponent. as outlined by others already...
  2. Do pros push topspin serves?

no, because you can't. You have to flick it actively or hold the racket very lightly and do a block like move.
  3. Nittaku Genextion is out

I see that, but did not find any further info on it.
  4. Help with footwork

There are videos about getting into the proper stance online. The TLDR is that you have to do potentially two jumps to get into forehand position. As a beginner I can see that most points start with you pushing. Going into the table with your right foot is totally correct on short balls. What...
  5. W968 (Shipment only within Germany)

Yeah, I saw that later. I'll wait for number 99 then
  6. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

So after reviewing a bit of the video i took yesterday one could see that the hardness of 52,5° does not need to scare away people with a slower arm or less acceleration. Even with my suboptimal technique and slower arm it was able to loop with this rubber. Note the two first loops (in below...
  7. Nittaku New Products 2024

While we are talking about the hammond z2. Just tried to remove the rubber from one of my blades and for the very first time i totaly tore the rubber in parts, leaving clusters of the sponge on the wood. I used the same glue as always.
  8. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

after another session the initial impressions have hardened. The Dragon Power 52,5 is slower and more controlled in the passive game than the Rakza Z. You can play spinny loops without engaging the sponge, but this can obviously lead to the ball failing to clear the net. Not because there is not...
  9. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

greater than Rakza Z and PK 50 ? definitely. It might be on the level of the Nittaku Genextion, but unfortunately i dont have other Hybrids available to compare. It is important to note that you do not need much force to generate good power. So you dont need to loop very hard to get good depth...
  10. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

to be honest, that is exactly what a real hybrid should bring to the table. Dampen the bounce in short play (like chinese rubbers), but make it easy to generate power on active strokes like the regular tensors. It is definitely in line with physics. Just think off a custom made spring you...
  11. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

it is really odd because like you see: if you dont give any power and just hold it passive, the ball will not bounce off very much. If you do an active stroke though, the power of the sponge is very easily activated ( a little like the power was easily accessible with the Andro Nuzn 50 rubbers)
  12. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

after a first session against real people (and not against the robot) i have a few impressions. I will keep it brief because i want to wait for tomorrows session to verify these: - short touch is quite good (as indicated by that bounce test). I had a few occasions where i stepped into the table...
  13. W968 (Shipment only within Germany)

do i have alzheimers already or didn't you sell that one already in another thread ?
  14. Xiom Vega Asia H on FH and Europe H on BH

The new "H" series of Xiom's Vega line is quite controlled actually. So to gain power you will need to excert more force than their "old" counterparts. The Vega Pro is way easier to get power out of than the new Vega Pro H. Vega Asia H is also quite controlled and needs power and acceleration...
  15. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

Left side Rakza Z, right side Dragon power 52.5
  16. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

there is no good or bad in this category. Bouncing less means less high and therefore less often. This is remarkable, since the sponge hardness does not necessarily mean that the bounce is less. There are harder sponge rubber that still bounce quite high and often which can be interpreted in a...
  17. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

Just glued the 52,5 version onto a W968 and had a few balls on the robot. Rubber feels nice. Comparing the passive Ball bounce vs Rakza Z the dragongrip does bounce less high and often
  18. (SOLD)W968 National

Good luck =) i really dont need another W968. Regarding the asking price i think yours is reasonable, but you gotta compete with online sellers obviously and prott.vip sells national w968 with the ability to select the weight (88-91g) for 430$ so the difference is not that big.
  19. (SOLD)W968 National

i don't remember how it was with my other blades, but i think there was something on the packaging that i could rub off and then find a code that i could enter on the DHS site to check its veracity. Allegedly that is a one time code only. I did not buy stuff on ebay for decades, so how does...
