  1. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Thanks for extra info! Blade looks fine to me, basswood outer is a bit uncommon but if you like it, all good, some DHS blades have that too :D I agree with you here @jkugin , best to first stick to the new gear for a while to get a good feeling, only if you hate it fully then change, but...

@Haito interesting, so after tackiness is gone in let's say a couple sessions, it's a Nuzn essentially or what does it feel like after that? I will test and review (it's a home in the package) but always nice to hear in depth from the ones who already know it well ;)
  3. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

I have it at home in a beautiful package waiting to be tested, I'll tell you soon @ber !! Don't dare to say without giving it a spin ;)
  4. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yes @navuzor need to test Victas as well soon, im doubting between TDE or Xegna first, not sure!! Vega china review is coming this year, I'm starting very soon, wrapping up MK Pro/Hybrid and Helix Hybrid/DNA Hybrid soon!!
  5. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yep @J-fed , and to add to this, I saw the other day a stream of ZJ where he said that he doesnt like max on FH due to control issues. Our best club player (2nd division in NL, but played 1st division before) also never uses max on FH, and myself, i also dont like max on FH, matter of taste, but...
  6. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

That makes sense @merlin el mago , age and condition are very important factors, taking good care of your body (you only have one!) is of course key if you want to play for a long time :D
  7. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Thanks @ZSQ , appreciate your kind words and I indeed try my best to analyse all brands and be independent ❤️ Sorry it took a bit to answer, it's busy at work, software nowadays is a mad world with AI! haha But getting to your comment, you are probably a good intermediate, I know in China...
  8. 🌎 🇩🇪 TTD Forum Meet Up in Düsseldorf - September 11th, 12th & 13th 🇩🇪 🌎

i ll do my very best not to miss the second edition, looks like first was a total banger, still sad i could not join this one after having all planned 😓
  9. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yeah correct, and nuzn is a tensor hybrid so basically gets a good tensor and adds more linearity, so for people coming from tensors is in my opinion a win win. And for people coming from Chinese, the easier activation makes it more forgiving on both the technique and condition (which is welcome...
  10. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Thanks @ZSQ ! As always it depends on maaany factors, your level, gear taste, gear history, your technique, etc :D So its hard to say without knowing more, but sure, in theory a viscaria can certainly compensate for the slow tempo of glayzer 09c and it wil also tame the blade a bit. No need...
  11. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Custom blade, nice @jkugin ❤️ Right so from waht you say, it is very plausible that coming from chinese rubbers, the throw angle + the max is the issue, I play with rakza z often too, and i dont like max, but i love 2.0, the trick is to play much more forward, and not so much upwards, so you...
  12. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

That combo is a total powerhouse, so if you can hit medium-hard, it will be tough to control unless you are a very good amateur, I wouldnt dare to play it, but im just a normal amateur hahaha The other option where it can work is if you enjoy the built-in tempo feeling that both the blade and...
  13. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

This one is tough @jkugin because rakza Z is on its own quite slow and linear, so most of other hybrids have more tempo than it. Perhaps then you can look at chinese hybrids like 8-80 or similar :) From the non-chinese hybrids I have tried, they all have a bit more bounce in most scenarios...
  14. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yes this can be true specially if you compare something like Rxton 5 with a (good) modern hybrid, I guess it just depends on the comparison, for me H3N boosted can still produce more spin than anything else, followed closely by the top notch hybrids (D09c and the likes), but H3N is tough to use...
  15. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

I tested the LAC extensively 1.5y ago or so and indeed I found that when boosted it was similar to D09c, so also similar to H3N, but not sure yet if it is the best alternative. I really liked the Charged and dynamic of joola in this department as well. B3 I havent tested but will check it out...
  16. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Cool i ll check thanks! im planning on making a post somewhen soonish to talk about H3N alternatives in depth, and B2 and Target national are of course gonna be in there :)
  17. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

I still need to test target national but you would put target national in tensor hybrid @yodachi ? or more like pure hybrid with tensor taste?
  18. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Haven't tried Volant as much to say (a friend of mine has it, felt pretty pure hybrid back then, but my memory may fail here) but yes BD5 is more of pure hybrid but with a Chinese taste, not like a 50/50 like rakza Z, more like 65/35 or so
  19. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yes ofc just ask anything! Rakza Z is for me one of the perfect pure hybrid examples, fairly sticky when compared with other tensor hybrids, lasts a long time, and is very linear, for me one of the best pure hybrids for amateurs, still up to today :)
  20. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Np! Yeah in my experience more like a tensor, but it's just a way of defining things, in the end what matters is how much catapult with what gears :)
