  1. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

That you are placing the odds at 50-50 for a World Champion vs a #4 player shows you really arent confident. Since the historical record is something on the order of 80-90% wins for Wang over Harimoto, you should really be offering $10 for every Wang win to something like $20 for evey Harimoto...

You can be angry Hulk, even all the time. The problem is wherher you can gather the information to read and adjust to the ball playing like angry Hulk. When I play pips, some peole are surprised by how consistently I am playing positive topspins, but I play at a speed and with technique that...
  3. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

This is true in a superfluous way. Technique has to be good enough to put the ball on the table, but whether that means the technique has to be textbook optimal is a different story. Ultimately, for the level a player plays at, suboptimal technique that puts the ball on the table is more...

  6. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Since Togami has a superior head to head vs Harimoto over their careers when one factors in domestic matches, that is incredibly weird.
  7. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

There was someone on WhatsApp who I was speaking to about Kanak after his win over Dang. He said that Kanak managed to beat Qiu Dang despite his low power game because of his fine touches. And I tried to point out that Kanak's power level has significantly improved. And then the guy said that...

I think you can attribute the 3% to being surprised by the Harimoto changes in strategy and improvements in consistency - again per zeio, he admitted to actively trying to take away the Wang chiquita and say whatever you want, Harimoto was burned badly by it in Vegas but here, the Wang chiquita...
  9. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Truls also doesn't have a real backhand topspin, which is an important thing to have when facing a complete two-winged lefty.
  10. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Yes, obviously they make "unforced errors", and it is often subjective, but it is really self-serving to pretend that all the unforced errors came out of nowhere and that when Wang play Truls or Togami, all the unforced errors magically vanished because Wang was on form but when he played...
  11. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Okay, you watched a very different match from me - you act like unforced errors are some magical thing and not a result of misreading the opponent or being under pressure to play outside your comfort zone. Many of the games were really close and illustrate that both players were playing at a...

Have you ever checked Fan Zhendong's win rate vs Ma Long when making that statement? Would you consider all the wins from FZD to be bad days from Ma Long?
  13. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

He was doing better with the Zyre 03 angle... he is just being plain silly now.

Or like this at 14 as well?
  15. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

He was playing like this at 14????
  16. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

I'm trying to remember a match where someone countered so aggressively and consistently against such a high level opponent. @TensorBackhand , please unharden your heart, and let my people go!
  17. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Don't worry, when Butterfly releases Zyre 03, your prognostications will be proven right!
  18. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Yes but the Hayata situation was about no coaches but then access to a trainer who happens to be your coach. Chat GPT is or LLMs are cool to ask but no one prevents you from speaking to other people during those periods, so you can't tell what a person is doing once they are around
  19. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Who knows, maybe he might wish he could now lol.
  20. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Oh I have never heard no coaching during medical timeout, the one thing I remember being questioned was why were coaches always allowed to follow the players to change shirts. I don't think it is a big issue as long as everyone has access to coaches fairly.
